Women's Empowerment tips: Do you really know what you want in life?

Many people are disappointed with where they are in
life or are confused about how to get where they want to go.

There are many who have not even discovered this until it’s
too late.

How much time have you spent watching television or even doing
things that don’t really matter.

The first thing you must do is determine what you really want in life.

You may need to go back to when you were a child as some of our
Dreams were influenced by family, our environment, society our
church and others. You cannot even begin to set goals if you’re
not sure of this.

Now, don’t let it get you down if you’re not sure of what you really
want out of life. There are many ways of discovering your purpose
in life.

One place to begin is as I stated deep within as early as your childhood.
Do not let the influence of what others think you should be or do take
control of your thoughts. Now is the time to listen to your heart. Now
is the time to be authentic to be true to yourself.

What is it you truly love to do? This will represent your passion. What
is it that you would do with passion even if you weren’t paid to do it?
You will jump up each morning with excitement as you pursue your purpose
and passion.

Even when challenges come you will push forward as your passion fuels
your motivation. Of course you will have times that you experience
opposition, however, your passion, your heart’s desire will find ways
to overcome these obstacles.

Now take a few moments to jot down what you really want. Don’t try to
qualify it or second guess now is the time to let your heart speak.

There are other steps to take, however, without being clear on this you
will build an unstable foundation.

Here’s a great quote: If you want to get somewhere you have to know
where you want to go and how to get there. Then never, never, never
give up. - Norman Vincent Peale

Woman Entrepreneur tips: Is the money really in the list?

We've often heard that the money is in the list. Although I believe in
this statement it is also important to note that the money is in a
responsive targeted list.

You can go on a daily pursuit of building a large list without any
focus on your niche or in other words who do you serve? And you'll
have a huge list of non responsive subscribers.

Carrie Wilkerson talks about community and how important it is to build
community and relationship.

I learned quite a few tidbits from her course magnetic list building.

Here are a few things she notes:

Definition: What is an "Opt-in list" or
"Permission-Based Marketing?"

This simply means that you are drawing prospects and customers closer to you by exchanging something of value for their name and e-mail, HENCE, permission to communicate with them about related products or services! Imagine yourself a large magnet, drawing a hungry crowd to you and they are raising their hand to say, "Yes! I am interested!"

She then shares the following: In a nutshell, here are 5 of the most basic low & no-cost tactics I used initially...

* Squeeze page with a free report or "ethical bribe"
* Weekly tips and/or newsletter
* Viral mini movie (there are ways to do this and things to avoid!)
* Tele-event series (this was also a great revenue generator
* Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, & more)

In this course I received content rich emails weekly with lessons
on things such as finding your market to using video to build your list.

I highly recommend the Magnetic List Building course.

Women's Empowerment: Hone for the Holidays How to Transform Your Family Dynamics

I thought this was an interesting article and shared some great information
that we could all use. Enjoy!

Hone for the Holidays How to Transform Your Family Dynamics

By Steve Truitt

When Adam Sandler was still on Saturday Night Live back in the 90s, he did a fantastic bit during the Weekend Update News in which he had his father record the appearance on the VCR because he wouldn’t be able to make it home that year for Thanksgiving. He brought out a huge plate of food and began to eat and mimic listening to the people around the table as if he were there. It started off tame, but pretty soon it got contentious: “No Ma, I didn’t say that… Ma, she’s lying! Dad stay out of this… no I won’t shut up, Dad, you’ve been keeping me down too long! The tide’s turning old man!” At this point he burst into tears and screamed “I’M GAY!”

It was hysterical for a late night comedy show, but, sadly, all too common in families around the country.

So how is it that the season of celebration, joy, giving and family has become the time of the year that is most stressful? The answer is in Sandler’s Thanksgiving piece: He knew what was coming and he was waiting for it.

As family members, we know each other better than anyone else – foibles, flaws, failures and more. And the hope that maybe this year things will be different turns to anger, distance and resentment when that one button gets pushed and nothing has changed at all. Even in the closest of families – the least dysfunctional – expectations of unity, peace and holiday spirit can be instantly dashed at the moment a family member’s annoying habit poisons our perfect holiday scenario.

Here are the three things you can do this holiday season to hone your family relationship skills and make your holiday gatherings a more positive experience:

1. Limit your exposure: If you know that a certain amount of time spent with a family member gets your blood boiling, then simply plan to spend less time with them. Get in, get out and get on with your life.
2. Practice forgiveness: If you’re carrying any unresolved resentment into a particular situation, you’re planning to have a fight. You’re not going to fix or change this person – especially not during the holiday. So let it go, forgive their past offenses – and suspend your own judgment of them – and see if you can remember what you love about them. Focus on their good attributes. Let’s face it – who among us is perfect?
3. Visualize a great time: Before you spend time with your friends or relatives, take five minutes and visualize yourself driving or flying home from the visit feeling good about it and happy that you spent time with them. Take that peaceful energy into the situation and you will look for ways to create it while you’re there.

We can’t choose our families, but we can choose to accept them for who they are, and allow ourselves to be who we are at the same time. Your holiday is not recorded on videotape – at least not in its entirety! It’s yours to create -- any way you choose. This year choose to be the change you want to see in the family. Be forgiveness, be joy… BE MERRY!

Happy Holidays!

Women's Empowerment: All we have is now... all too true realization by Brittany Murphy's death

If you found out that you only had 3 months to live would you
be more forgiving? The truth of the matter is that you are
not guaranteed even 1!

Are we really living life to the fullest or are we spending our days
believing that there's always tomorrow. And yet we want to realize the
benefits that come with an effective pursuit and manifestation of
women's empowerment.

Living a lifestyle of unforgiveness steals our relationships, opportunities
and is at the root of many diseases.

We must embrace a lifestyle of forgiveness for realized maximum empowerment
and sustained success.

On another note how long have you waited on your dreams? What has procrastination cost you in terms of relationships, money, dreams etc?

We all were saddened by the news of Brittany Murphy's death. A gifted woman
age 32 is no longer here and all opportunity to realize many of her dreams
is no more. Brittany did achieve a level of success in her life that many will
never see even though they live to see 72.

How long do you have here on earth? No one knows for certain. So what are you waiting for? If for some reason this was all there was and you would not
see 2010 would you be satisfied with what you have accomplished? If your answer
is a shattering no, what are you waiting for? All we have is now.

Seize every opportunity to realize the manifestation of your dreams. Live
everyday like it's your last because one day it will be.

Say yes to Breakthrough in 2010!!

My prayers go out to the family and friends of Brittany Murphy.

Women's Empowerment tips: Top 7 qualities of skillful leadership by Jim Rohn - Celebrating leadership in the new decade 2010!

Many great people departed this life in 2009 and one of those people is Jim Rohn.
He was a man of great wisdom. In this post I share one of his writings. You'll find many jewels within this one piece. The key is balance. Take it to heart for
maximized women's empowerment.

Here's to great leadership in the new decade 2010!

by Jim Rohn

If you want to be a leader who attracts quality people, the key is to become a person of quality yourself. Leadership is the ability to attract someone to the gifts, skills, and opportunities you offer as an owner, as a manager, as a parent. I call leadership the great challenge of life. What's important in leadership is refining your skills. All great leaders keep working on themselves until they become effective. Here are some specifics:

1. Learn to be strong but not rude. It is an extra step you must take to become a powerful, capable leader with a wide range of reach. Some people mistake rudeness for strength. It's not even a good substitute.
2. Learn to be kind but not weak. We must not mistake kindness for weakness. Kindness isn't weak. Kindness is a certain type of strength. We must be kind enough to tell somebody the truth. We must be kind enough and considerate enough to lay it on the line. We must be kind enough to tell it like it is and not deal in delusion.
3. Learn to be bold but not a bully. It takes boldness to win the day. To build your influence, you've got to walk in front of your group. You've got to be willing to take the first arrow, tackle the first problem, discover the first sign of trouble.
4. You've got to learn to be humble but not timid. You can't get to the high life by being timid. Some people mistake timidity for humility. Humility is almost a God-like word. A sense of awe. A sense of wonder. An awareness of the human soul and spirit. An understanding that there is something unique about the human drama versus the rest of life. Humility is a grasp of the distance between us and the stars, yet having the feeling that we're part of the stars. So, humility is a virtue, but timidity is a disease. Timidity is an affliction. It can be cured, but it is a problem.
5. Be proud but not arrogant. It takes pride to win the day. It takes pride to build your ambition. It takes pride in community. It takes pride in cause, in accomplishment. But the key to becoming a good leader is being proud without being arrogant. In fact, I believe the worst kind of arrogance is arrogance from ignorance. It's when you don't know that you don't know. Now that kind of arrogance is intolerable. If someone is smart and arrogant, we can tolerate that. But if someone is ignorant and arrogant, that's just too much to take.
6. Develop humor without folly. That's important for a leader. In leadership, we learn that it's okay to be witty, but not silly. It's okay to be fun, but not foolish.
7. Deal in realities. Deal in truth. Save yourself the agony. Just accept life like it is. Life is unique. Some people call it tragic, but I'd like to think it's unique. The whole drama of life is unique. It's fascinating.

I've found that the skills that work well for one leader may not work at all for another. But the fundamental skills of leadership can be adapted to work well for just about everyone: at work, in the community, and at home.

Go tell it! Christmas should be show and tell as writen by songwriter Robin G. Tramble aka empowermentdiva

I was up trying to recall the lyrics to a song I penned
a few years ago and it really concerned me that I couldn't
bring it back or locate the lyrics.

Well, anyone that knows me, knows that once I set my mind to
do something it's done! I felt led to go to my newsletter
to find older postings and aha!! There it was shared with my
subscribers. So.... you know I must share with you. Enjoy!

I'll record it so you can enjoy the music for the next Christmas.
How about that?

Go show it
Lyrics to original song
(c) 2006 Robin G. Tramble

Joy to the world , Joy to the world
Heark the herald Angels sing
In a little town called Bethlehem
Was born a child a King
Oh come let us adore Him
He brings peace and goodwill
Joy to the world, Joy to the world
Let Heaven and nature.... nature sing

Go tell it on the mountain, Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain, Behind the Christmas story
There's Power and Glory
Then Jesus Christ was born
Go tell it on the mountain... Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ was born

It was a silent night, a cold, cold night
The carolers did sing
Joy to the world, Joy to the world
But what Joy could it bring
To one woman it's just another night
No food or gifts for her babies in sight
No Joy to her world, Joy to her world
Let heaven and nature.... sing

Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere
Everybody needs to know why Jesus Christ was born
Continue chorus

It's time to show and tell, Christmas should be show and tell - repeat
January, Februay, March, April, May
June and July .... everyday
August and September, October and November
Share the love of God more than December
It's time to show and tell, Christmas should be show and tell!

Women's Empowerment: Why Goal setting is a must do activity for your best empowered year yet!

What happened to your year?

Do you know? Where did you spend your time and was it spent wisely?
Did you realize the results that you wanted for women's empowerment?
If you don’t know the answer to at least one of these questions it
could be a result of not setting effective goals and incorporating
systems to measure your effectiveness and provide a map of where
you want to go.

This is a must do activity for your best empowered year yet.

You’ve probably heard about goals since at least Middle School
(Jr. High for some of us) and paid little or no attention to this
very important activity.

Is there really any benefit to setting goals?

Setting goals is a very significant part of success and positive
accomplishments. People who set goals literally create a map of
their target achievements in life, marking where they should begin,
where to pause, where to delve a bit, and where and when to stop.
Once this map is created, it allows the map drawer to check where
he is in the scheme of things and whether or not he is making some
achievements that will take him closer to his goals.

What are some key benefits to setting goals?

Knowing how you are doing and what you should be doing to achieve
your targets or dreams in life is a key benefit of setting goals.
You will know if you can relax or if you have to double your efforts
when you are falling short of the realization of your desired goal.

You are able to keep track of your progress which provides for
excellent feed back.

As a result of setting goals you will find that you’re more motivated
to achieve your plans.

Setting effective goals and achieving them will also help to boost
your confidence.

I've listed just a few of the vast amount of benefits of setting goals.

However, goal setting is not enough, as this should be accompanied by
a positive outlook and self-discipline. A person may have a blueprint
of where he wants to go, but if he does not have the necessary discipline
to carry out the plan, then nothing will come out of it.

To be successful in goal setting, the goals that one has set for himself
should be realistic and based on his capabilities, as well as selected
and important external factors. Being too ambitious in setting up goals
can make the goals unrealistic and difficult to achieve.

However, do not also set goals that are too low because this might
discourage one’s vision instead of achieving it.

If you haven't taken the time to set some goals whether personal,
spiritual or business goals there's no time to wait. Goal setting
is a must do activity for your best empowered year yet.

If you'd like to receive more information on goal setting and
other keys and strategies to living your best empowered life.

I'd like to invite you to learn more about an incredible resource
for women's empowerment here.

Here's to you an empowered woman!

Women's Empowerment: When is enough - enough?

Time continues to fulfill it's assignment daily waiting on no man.
Are you fulfilling your assignment daily waiting on no man, no-thing?
~ Robin G. Tramble

I'm sure you can attest to the above. Why, it's apparent when you look
in the mirror. A few lines here and a few gray hairs there. Yes, I know don't
remind you. And then maybe some of you have come to terms with the
fact that this is a natural process and you don't stress it. You do
what you need to do to enhance your looks.

As you've traveled through life and experienced various stages I'm
sure you've witnessed times of lack and times of increase. All of us
would like to see more times of increase. Some of us are there and
others are still dreaming of the day that this will manifest.

Are you living the life of your dreams? If your answer is no, what is
holding you back? What are you doing about it?

If you've been living this way for over 5 to 10 years and you've continued
doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results you're
actually living out one of the definitions of insanity.

Aren't you tired of watching the world go by, simply wishin' and a hopin'?

When is enough - enough?

Reach inside yourself and pull out that passion for life that you had
as a child. Reach for the dream and take action!! Taking action may
mean connecting to a mentor or coach, taking some courses to learn
life skills, connecting to a community of like-minded women for empowerment and support or simply writing down what it is you really
want, setting some goals and discovering how you can get there.

It's your life and only you can make the change necessary to live
the life of your dreams.

Don't wait. Time doesn't

Enough is enough.... now!

Women's Empowerment: Tips for effective communication

The spoken word belongs half to him who speaks, and half to him who listens.
- French Proverb

One of the most powerful ways to enhance your communication is to listen.
I'm not speaking of passive listening. Nor am I referring to listening while
waiting for the next opportunity to get your point across. I'm speaking of
active listening.

Are you really listening... or are you just waiting for your turn to talk?"
- R. Montgomery

Paraphrasing is a great way to enhance your listening skills.
With this technique you might say " So if I understand correctly
you are saying that ...... when you.....?"
This helps in any dialogue whether it's personal or business.
It's engaging and reinforces the individuals belief that you
actually care about what they're saying and this builds rapport.

So while you're pursuing your personal and business empowerment consider
learning effective listening skills a significant part of developing effective

Here's a fun exercise -
Try this test of how well people listen:
Ask someone:
How do you pronounce J-O-K-E? "Joke"
How do you pronounce P-O-K-E? "Poke"
How do you pronounce B-L-O-K-E? "Bloke"
How do you pronounce S-M-O-K-E? "Smoke"
How do you pronounce the white of an egg? "Yolk"
Are you sure??

An unstoppable woman entrepreneur is a woman of influence

INFLUENCING OTHERS: People will only change and "play ball" when,
in their terms, it makes sense for them to do so. And, it makes
more sense when they come to the conclusions themselves. Therefore,
to influence others, don't TELL them, ask open-ended questions which
will draw them to the conclusions you wish to make.
~ Author unknown

Most entrepreneurs know that a prospect needs to know,
like and trust you before they'll be ready to purchase from you.
Now, there are differing opinions on this, however, there is definite
truth to the quote above. When entering into any dialoque with an
individual whether it's a personal relationship or business relationship
it's always a good idea to allow the other individual to feel that they
have come to the conclusion that you wanted them to make on their own.

In this instance we are talking about the woman entrepreneur's
relationship with a prospect or client/customer.

To a certain extent it is a known fact that some individuals want
you to tell them what they want, however, you must use a certain
technique to achieve this without it appearing that you are telling
them what to do or what they want.

The one thing this involves is listening. I don't mean passive
listening but actively listening. This is the only way you'll be
armed with the means to ask open-ended questions relevant to the
goal you have.

Next you will want to know more about the individual. What are their
likes, where is their pain, what do they care about? You'll be in a
better position to influence your client/customer's or prospect's
decision and draw them into a conclusion that you desire.

Always have some means of capturing their information so that you can
better build your relationship with them.

Apply the tips given above and realize the fruits of an unstoppable woman
entrepreneur a woman of influence.

You'll find information beneficial to your personal,
spiritual and business growth in The Association of Christian Women
an organization designed to provide a resource bank of tools,
expertise, training and more for Christian Women Entrepreneurs.

Why you must break free from fear now for women's empowerment!

You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger
than your faith. ~Mary Manin Morrissey

One thing I see over and over is the evidence of fear in
women's lives. These are the same women who so want to
embrace the idea of women's empowerment. It is possible
to break free, however, as I say empowerment is a choice and
so is breaking free from fear.

What is fear?
Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat.
It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response
to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger.
Some psychologists such as John B. Watson, Robert Plutchik, and
Paul Ekman have suggested that fear is one of a small set of basic
or innate emotions. This set also includes such emotions as joy,
sadness, and anger. Fear should be distinguished from the related
emotional state of anxiety, which typically occurs without any
external threat. Additionally, fear is related to the specific
behaviors of escape and avoidance, whereas anxiety is the result
of threats which are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable.
From wikipedia

Although there is good fear which for instance is a response
given when we sense danger I am talking about the negative aspect of fear.

Here are three reasons that you must break free from fear now!

Fear is a Dream Killer
Like procrastination, fear is a thief of time and I know all to well
about this one. There are many opportunities that have been lost
because of fear. I'm sure you can think of some missed opportunities
of your own. This will continue to happen unless you break free.
The life of your dreams is at stake. You must break free now!

Fear is a toxin
Our subconscious mind receives messages from our thoughts and actions
and it doesn't know whether it's a temporary or insincere thought.
No, our subconscious mind gets to work on whatever we send its way.
So in essence fear is a toxin to the subconscious mind.

Fear is not a part of God's plan and is not from God
In the bible we read that God has not given us a spirit of
fear but He's given us power, love and a sound mind. So if
God didn't give it to us then we shouldn't have it and it
hinders the flow of blessing on our lives.

Your goal should never be to focus on totally being free from fear,
that would be unbalanced, however, you should learn keys and the
necessary mindset shifts needed to empower you to live a life free
from the bondage of fear.

What will you do if you never break free? You don't have to wait
any longer. Join me for a free call Secrets to Breaking free from
fear, overwhelm, procrastination and low self esteem.

It happens Friday, January 15 at 11:00 AM PST, 1:00 PM CST,

One defintion of insanity is to do the same thing over and over
again expecting different results. Stop the insanity! Do something
positively different. Finally break free from fear.

Women's Empowerment tips: How can I refrain from giving up?

If you want to get somewhere you have to know where you want to go and how
to get there. Then never, never, never give up. Norman Vincent Peal

The easiest thing to do is to give up. Whether it's giving up on your goals,
dreams, relationships etc. It doesn't take much to come to this
choice. And it is a choice. Each of us are given a choice we can
keep moving, stay persistent and consistent or choose to "Give up!"

Now, let's reflect on the quote above. I'm assuming that you do
want to get somewhere right?

One thing you must do is to know where you are going as mentioned
in the quote above. And all too many times that is one of the problems
you just don't even know where you want to go. You may complain about
what you don't have and how things have ended up and where you ended up.
Did you ever take the time to discover where it
is that you wanted to go? What is your vision, your dream, what are your
core values, who is your message to? All of these are important areas to
get clarity on.

How will you get there?
It's one thing to get clear on your goals, niche (who you serve),
and more and yet another to incorporate strategies and systems that
you'll use to get there. One thing you'll want to have is a mission
statement this not only helps others to see at a glance more of
what you're offering and to whom but helps you have a gage to measure
the effectiveness of your activities.

Back to setting goals. When setting goals it's not only good to do this
but to also make sure that you are setting effective goals and then add
action steps to your goals.

Why do individuals give up?
They may have become overwhelmed by too much information and lack the
needed support to actualize this information. Again, you don't have
goals in place aligned with daily action steps. There could be fear
in operation, fear of rejection, the unknown, failure, success etc.
A lack of Faith, courage and confidence.
There's no accountability measure in place. One accountability measure
you must have is a mentor, coach relationship. If you're not ready
for a formal mentoring/coaching relationship you need to consider being
part of a group that facilitates coaching and mentoring opportunities.
Most of these also provide tools, resources and assessments to reinforce
your experience.

Women's Empowerment tips: It's not over...Finish strong in 2009

We're here at the end of 2009 and you can look at it as the end and
that your op.portunity to achieve all that you wanted for 2009 is over.
Or.... you can look at it as an op.portunity to finish strong!

Yes, even in these last few weeks you can position yourself to
finish strong and jump-start your new year now.

Here are a few things you must do.

Get over yourself! OUCH!! Well we don't have a lot of time and you want
to hear it like it.... t-i-s tis right? So forget about all the reasons why you haven't
been successful accept for the activity of a professional self assessment.

Mindset shifts. Are your thoughts of success or failure and scarcity.
Make the shift to abundance and success. If you're in sales make the
shift from simply selling to sharing.

Eliminate those limiting beliefs. Let's face it we all have things that were
communicated to us and about us that influenced our success or lack thereof.
What has it done for you thus far? Not much if you're speaking of limiting

Set a few goals and attach action steps that you will complete daily to
achieve those goals. Write them down! Also always revisit your goals.

Get organized. Ughhh!! Yes, I said organization. This will help you
finish strong and jump-start 2010. Maybe this can be one of your goals.
To get organized!! Jot down daily action steps you'll need to take to
accomplish this. Get containers, bins, file folders, clear out the clutter,
designate a specific space for your office etc.

Get clear on your vision and if you're in business or aspire to start
a business get clear on who your niche (target market, who you serve)
is. This is very critical to your success. If you have no vision you have
no direction or navigation you are moving forward aimlessly if you're
moving forward at all.

Take inventory of the systems you have in place right now and
tweak any areas that didn't work.

Build your confidence and self esteem. This can be a great hindrance
to any endeavors whether personal, spiritual or business success.

Connect to an accountability measure. You know I have to say this.
This can be part of the big battle. You're on an island, trying to
reinvent the wheel, becoming overwhelmed and confessed.
You don't have to do that! Connect with a coach, mentor, trainer
hopefully that is or will be "me!"

Last but not least, commit to your spiritual authority. Your commitment
here will lay the foundation for anything you do. As Christians if you're married
your spiritual authority is your husband and Father God and those
unmarried it is Father God. It's important to have order and this
order would be based on the season of life you're in at this time.
Committing to Father God will help you fear-less and stay

There you have it a few tips on finishing strong. Of course there's much
more I could have said, however, we only have a few weeks left and
I don't want to overwhelm you.

If you need any support in any of these areas let's chat about getting
you connected. I have various levels for you to participate in.
Watch for programs being introduced that will support your efforts.

I suggest you begin with my Women's Empowerment Inner Circle here.

Special Free Christmas gift for Women's Empowerment - Secrets of Achievement and Change

I know that many of you are looking to get started on your
empowering success plans for 2010 and I'd like to help you
get started with my special Christmas gift.

Get ready to Dominate and win in 2010!!

Do you have something you
want to change or achieve in
your life? Maybe you'd like to...

=> start a business
=> get a new career (or a raise)
=> lose weight
=> build your confidence
==>become stronger in your faith
=> or something else

No matter what you'd like to change or achieve, the secrets to
success are the same...

#1: Get clear. As specifically as possible, decide what you want.
The more clear you are on what you want to have in your life, the
more likely you are to achieve it.

#2: Get perspective. Most people don't tell anyone what they want
or what they are struggling with and because of that they don't
get an outside perspective.

#3: Get support. Very few people (if any) achieve anything
great alone. Sports stars have teammates and coaches.
Be willing to ask the people in your life to support you.

The power of songwriting and women's Personal Empowerment

Have you ever imagined writing your own songs?

How would you feel if you finally achieved that dream?
What if you could use that same learned skill to enhance
your personal empowerment activities?

It's been said that music is a universal language and that we can alter
our moods by the proper use of music. It has been found in research
that music can greatly enhance the recovery of patients in
the hospital. What can we say then about the power of the individual act of songwriting and women's personal empowerment?

Songwriting encompasses thoughts put to paper and these thoughts based on
experience have the power to shift our moods. When we take it a step further
and add music to the lyrics another dynamic is added.

The scripture in the bible "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he" has
been used in many personal development articles and readings in books
and on the internet. There's even a book with the title of the bible
scripture. When we put our thoughts to paper and capture it in song it
only accelerates this concept raising the impact received by the individual
recipient. When the song is then recited another dynamic is added by the act
of positive speaking and in this case positive singing. This is also evidenced
by scripture "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."
Proverbs 18:21.

Women's personal empowerment is essential to any level of success and
this is an idea to be taken serious as an addition to your list of personal
empowerment activities.

How significant of a role does your thoughts play in all of this?
Your thoughts become energy. If your thoughts are negative, the energy
is negative; if positive, then the energy is positive. When emotions become
involved with the thoughts, the energy is even stronger. The energy, however,
doesn't remain dormant - it expands. It expands each time you think your

As energy builds and gains strength, it beings to attract like energy.
Like a magnet, the energy attracts other like matter to it. Since the energy
is inside you, it attracts the like matter to you. If your
thoughts lean toward negative, then you are attracting negative matter - dead
end jobs, horrible bosses, bad relationships, never achieving that which you most want, constant struggle, conflicts, built up anger, and so on. Whereas, if your thoughts are positive, you attract positive outcome and situations.

Imagine writing songs that encompass the above mentioned activities.
The fusion of the lyrics, bass, simple keyboard or guitar lines etc. makes
for a foundation for a beautiful song, however, just the mere writing of lyrics
can offer therapeutic benefits.

The process of writing your song helps you to process your emotions by recalling the
experience. This can be a subtle way of dealing with emotions that you don't necessarily want to deal with head on.

How can this be applied to personal development?
I've often shared with clients the power of positive self talk. This is what we mentally say to ourselves and to others about ourselves. It limits us by our own self-labels.

Learn more about how you can learn to write your own songs. Songs to celebrate
a time in your life, for a loved one or for your own personal empowerment.

I'll share more on how you can use your learned skill to write positive
affirming songs to enhance your personal empowerment plans.

FOR RETAILERS AND shoppers alike, Black Friday is serious business. Last year, more than 140 million shoppers hit the stores the day after Thanksgiving, with some 50 million already pushing shopping carts by 6:00 a.m., according to the National Retail Federation.

The allure? By far, shoppers can get the best deals of the year on pretty much everything. And with groups like the National Retail Federation forecasting a dismal holiday shopping season for retailers, stores will be slashing prices even further to drive traffic into their stores. That means we can expect the Black Friday bargains to be even hotter this year.

Even though the deals should be plentiful, you shouldn't start Black Friday without a game plan. Here are five tips on how to make the most of the biggest shopping day of the year:

Woman Entrepreneur and newbie tips: Intro to article marketing

Ask any woman entrepreneur and they'll tell you one of the challenges
in business is getting traffic to our sites.

One of the easiest ways to get traffic to your website is by article marketing. It is not the fastest, but it is easy and cheap. When you are first starting in the internet marketing business, you need things that are easy and allow you to
leverage your money.

It doesn't take any time to blow your budget trying to get your website built, buying all the books under the sun, and even after all of that you probably still haven’t had your first sale. When the reality finally sets in that the internet work week is a pipe dream, you don’t have any money left to drive traffic to your website.

It is a given, that pay per click will drive traffic to your site faster than any other method, but if you have already blown your budget, you need to find ways to get traffic to your site for free, and this is where article marketing comes in.

Just about anyone with moderate English skills and minimal writing ability can write articles and publish them on the various article directories. And if your articles are remotely interesting, you can have them picked up by various webmasters and bloggers to use as information on their sites, some within hours of being published.

You may ask what needs to be done to have these articles point back to your website? Most experts will tell you that you need to have the all important keywords in your article point back to you website. Well, if you are a newbie, just what is a keyword, and how is it used to point traffic to your website.

I'll discuss this in an informative teleseminar with the Women's Empowerment
Inner Circle Gold Tier, Tuesday, November 4.

Woman Entrepreneur tips: Realize maximum empowerment by unlocking your self improvement power

The effectiveness of self improvement has been discounted by many as an ineffective and/or insignificant part of our empowerment and success. I believe that you must continue self improvement for any level of sustained empowerment and success.

If you are looking at a certain object such as a painting– you won’t be able to appreciate what’s in it, what is painted and what else goes with it if the painting is just an inch away from our face, however, if you try to take it a little further, you’ll have a clearer vision of the whole art work.

There does come a point in our life when we are ready to receive information and change that will help us unlock our self improvement . Until then, something can be staring us right under our nose but we don’t see it. The only time we think of unlocking our self improvement power is when everything got worst. Take the frog principle for example –

Try placing Frog A in a pot of boiling water. What happens? He makes sounds! He jumps off! Why? Because he is not able to tolerate sudden change in his environment – the water’s temperature. Then try Frog B: place him in a luke warm water, then turn the gas stove on. Wait til the water reaches a certain boiling point. Frog B then thinks “Ooh… it’s a bit warm in here”.

At times people can be like Frog B. Today, Serena thinks James hates her. Tomorrow, Patrick walks up to her and told her he hates her. Serena stays the same and doesn’t take too much to heart what her friends says. The next day, she learned that Sheila and Carl also abhors her. Serena doesn’t realize at once the importance and the need for self improvement until the entire community hates her.

It is often said that we learn our lessons when we experience pain. We finally see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and tough. When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our jeans and shirts would fit us. When do we stop eating candies and chocolates? When all of our teeth have fallen out. When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our lungs have gone bad. When do we pray and ask for help? When we realize that we’re going to die within six months.

Empowered woman entrepreneurs and women don’t just accept change, they embrace it. Now, you don’t have to feel a tremendous heat before realizing the need for self improvement. Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself out of the cage of thought that “its just the way I am”. It is such a poor excuse for people who fear and resist change. Most of us program our minds like computers.

We are often conditioned by our environment, friends, relatives etc. Yvonne repeatedly tells everyone that she doesn’t have the guts to be around groups of people. She heard her mom, her dad, her sister, her teacher tell the same things about her to other people. Over the years, that is what Yvonne believes. She believes its her story. And what happens? Every time a great crowd would troop over their house, in school, and in the community – she tends to step back, shy away and lock herself up in a room. Yvonne not only believed in her story, she lived it.

Yvonne has to realize that she is not what she is in her story. Instead of having her story post around her face for everyone to remember, she has to have the spirit and show people “I am an important person and I should be treated accordingly!”

You can realize maximum empowerment when you unlock your self improvement power.
As I always say , empowerment is a choice. Self improvement may not be everybody’s favorite word, but if we look at things in a different point of view, we might have greater chances of enjoying the whole process instead of counting the days until we are fully improved. Three sessions in a week at the gym would result to a healthier life, reading books instead of watching TV will shape up a more profound knowledge, going out with friends and peers will help you take a step back from work and unwind.

Connecting with an accountability measure whether it’s through skills
learned through programs and systems or inviting a Coach or Mentor to
work with you is the most empowering step you can take. You’ll soon
realize that you’re beginning to take things light and become more joyful.

Unlock your self improvement power now! It’s your life and only you
can make the mindset shift from self sabotage and failure to
empowering success.

Women's Empowerment: 10 reasons to hire a coach

1. You will set far better goals that motivate you in a healthy way.
Did you have Goal Setting 101 in high school? Probably not. Enter the Coach, an expert in helping you to identify and set the goals that you really want, not the ones that are "shoulds," pipedreams, that you've been recycling or that mirror the goals of your parents, society or Madison Avenue. Choosing the right goals for you is an art and the Coach takes the necessary time to help you clarify your personal values, so that you have something really solid on which to develop your goals. Value-based goals are naturally motivating, but it takes good Coaching to get to these.

2. You'll accomplish goals and tasks and projects much more quickly.
One of the reasons that people hire a Coach is to save themselves time. Working with a Coach, they learn how to be far more effective, efficient and productive in everything that they do, including their job/business or personal projects. We humans just aren't that naturally effective, even if we think that we are. The Coach has the tools and techniques to share with their clients so that things get done in half the time. (Even the Coaching process is efficient -- on the phone, 1/2 hour a week, reasonable fee.)

3. You'll make fewer mistakes in your business life or in your personal life.
The old model of learning from your mistakes has deteriorated to be more like: How else will you learn if you don't make mistakes? Too expensive, in our view. With a Coach, you have a third eye, someone who's been there and who has Coached others in your situation, and an expert in getting the job done with the minimum of fuss (called learning curve, mistakes, errors in judgment, wrong tunnels, etc.). The costs (emotional, financial, time) of making mistakes has gotten very expensive in the past decade. A single mistake can ruin you in today's hyper-paced business environment. Some clients use their Coach as an inexpensive insurance policy.
4. You'll move up to the next level of your professional and personal life.
Almost everybody is moving up the ladder of business success, personal development, awareness and emotional balance. The coach can help you see where you are right now and point out ways to grow and get where you want to get to. Or, if you're not even on the ladder, the coach can guide you to it and help you get started on your path.

5. You'll reduce the number of problems you have and better resolve the
problems that are left. The first step in solving a problem is to ask yourself why you have this problem at all. The second step is to ask yourself why you have problems at all. The third step is to get on track to having no problems -- aka, becoming a Problem-Free Zone (PFZ). This is not a joke. Being a PFZ is becoming even more important along the path of sustainable success. You cannot afford to have problems, period. Life's too short and problems are too expensive. A well-trained coach can help you become a PFZ. A well-trained coach is a PFZ themselves.

6. You'll likely make more money in your career, profession or business.
Clients don't keep paying their Coaches just for the fun of it. Coaching, like every other professional service, needs to improve the financial bottom line and it does. Coaches are trained to help clients to leverage their ability to make money, i.e., getting a raise, choosing a better career, starting a business, improving profitability, adding more value to their customers, proper pricing, productivity and others. Sure, Coaching is personal, but it almost always includes a strong financial aspect.

7. You'll be a lot happier and this happiness will last.
Coaches know how to help you to reduce stress, integrate all aspects of your life, simplify or downshift, and reorient around what makes you the happiest. What good is increased productivity and profitability if you're not happy?

8. You'll be much more effective and influential with others: family,
business and personal relationships. Communication makes life life. A Coach is an expert communicator and trains clients on how to come across better, relate well with others, listen aggressively, influence, Coach, motivate and support others. There are over 100 communication and listening skills that clients can learn from a Coach.

9. You'll become much more attractive to others -- on the inside and on
the outside. Selling, as a profession and as a proven technique/process, is on its way out. Why? Because humans are getting better at choosing for themselves and buying better. Humans will respond less to advertising and selling techniques and instead be drawn to a product or service and they will be more likely drawn because of who is offering the product or service. This process is called attraction. It's real. It works. And it will replace much of the promotion, marketing, selling, seducing and other very expensive budget items. Remember, the world (aka consumers) is rapidly eliminating virtually all waste and inefficiencies in how business is conducted, products are sold and how services are delivered. Selling and mass marketing, while certainly still very effective right now, is on the hit list. Attraction is the next generation of selling and the well-trained Coach can help you and your business get on this track immediately.

10. You'll have a better life, not just a better lifestyle.
The term Quality of Life has become overused in the past few years, but the trend of Americans seeking to create a much better life for themselves is accelerating. In fact, people are re-examining what they had assumed that a good life was (married, 2.3 kids, nice car, secure job, church on Sundays, 3 weeks of vacation a year) and are now creating their own life, often breaking the rules and flying in the face of conventional wisdom in the process. Coaches understand the Life Design process and have already made many of the design changes in their life, that their clients are just now beginning to make.

Take your life back! Kick the habit of procrastination for maximized women's empowerment

There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back. ~Tom DeMarco and Timothy Lister

How many years have you lost to procrastination?

How many missed opportunities, relationships lost and loved ones
gone on and we missed the last opportunity to speak love to them?

It's a painful thing to look back at the impact the disempowering
act of procrastination has cost us.

Truth is as the quote states above there are a million ways to lose a
work day, but not even a single way to get one back. All of the time
lost cannot be regained.

We may be able to repair the damage to our bodies by improved health
habits, however, continued procrastination can render our bodies to
the point of no return.

Why do we procrastinate? Fear
I believe we are held captive to our fear of rejection, incompletion,
success, failure, the unknown and more. Yes, Fear is one of the reasons
we procrastinate. There are many more reasons that can contributed
to why we procrastinate.

What can you do about the disempowering behavior procrastination?

Woman entrepreneur empowerment: 4 tips for effectively using social media to drive traffic to your sites

Social media and Web 2.0 have been here for some time now. Experts predict that this trend will only grow. That means if you don’t start using social media now – today – you’ll be left behind.

In my interactions with women in my networks I hear confusion, a little anxiety and apprehension where it concerns using social media.

It can be a very good resource when you lay a good foundation and understand some of the guidelines.

Listed below are 4 tips for effectively using social media to drive traffic to your sites…

1. Complete your profile.

When you first open your Twitter, Facebook, Squidoo or other social media site account, fill out your profile (including a picture). Doing so makes it easier for people to get to know you and build relationships with you, which will make it more likely they’ll click through to your site. Did you know that some of your potential followers will not follow simply because you didn’t provide a picture?
If you’re serious about your business (and I know you are) take the time to include a picture.

2. Interact.

It is no coincidence that the name Social media includes the word social. They’re two way streets (not monologues). That’s why you shouldn’t just post content and move on. Instead, spend a few minutes each day interacting and getting to know people in your network. Simply respond to tweets, updates etc. The key again is to be social. Now you do this within reason and you don’t spend all day on social media networks. That’s another topic.

3. Include a link to your site on your profile page.

Your profile page is considered real estate and you must use all of your internet real estate to the full potential. This tip is simple but effective: Give people a reason to click through from the social media site to your blog or squeeze page. Your potential customer/client must get to know, like and trust you and this is a
Good way to get started.

4. Ask your followers/friends to retweet

On twitter your updates are called tweets and other sites my be updates or posts. If you create a “buzzworthy” post (such as a post on a hot or even controversial niche topic), ask your Twitter followers to “retweet” it. You can simply include “Plz RT” at the end of your tweets since there is a 140 character limit.

Now is the time to get involved if you’d like to grow your business. Social media is only expected to grow in the future. –You can start today by applying the four traffic-generating, relationship-building tips you just discovered!

There are many more tips and information to be shared around social media. I will share this and more during my Dream launch Mentoring and Coaching program.

At the time of the writing of this article I am approaching 5000 followers on Twitter and I didn’t use any gimmicks or other things to reach this point. If you want to learn more about social media join me. Go to my Dream Launch enrollment site here.

There's no time like the present to embark on your business empowerment journey through learned strategies and keys for your empowering success.

Women and Business Empowerment: How bad do you want it?

There are many interpretations of the word empowerment. I've listed
a simple definition below.

Empowerment: The act of giving power and authority to a person to perform his designated tasks and being enabled to do what is needed to accomplish a
given task, goal and mission.

Empowerment is a choice. You either choose to embrace empowerment
by learned life skill sets and other avenues or choose to sabotage any
level of success by continuing disempowering behaviors, neglecting
to learn and apply best practices and by failing to get clear on your
vision, goals and purpose in life.

Women today fulfill many roles and most are either in business
and experience phenomenal success or in business and are slowly
becoming disenchanted with the whole idea of women in business.

Business empowerment entails being diligent in utilizing effective
systems. Just as you have a system down for washing clothes, paying
bills or handling correspondence etc., there are systems that when used
diligently will empower your business.

The question is how bad to you want it? Business Empowerment.

I was watching the movie "Temptations" with my family and I recall one
scene where Berry Gordy asked his quality control team when listening
to one of the Temp's songs which one would you choose the record or a
sandwich? The response to the first song was a sandwich.
The next time he asked their response was the record. Being a
recording artist and songwriter myself I totally understood what
was being implied.

The concept was in order for the song to be a hit a customer would need
to desire the record so much that they would pass up buying something to
eat if they had to make that choice.

Well how do you see your business? Do you want it bad enough that you'd
pass up a couple nights out to be able to invest in the system or program that
you know will propel you forward? Or is the desire not strong enough and you
could still put it off saying to yourself "it will happen."

Do you desire it bad enough to put in hours weekly with a marketing plan
for realized growth instead of watching your favorite show? Or do you lack
the burning desire to pass up the show to gain new ground in your marketing

Do you desire it bad enough to stop the insanity "doing the same thing
expecting different results" and connect with new systems, strategies
and an accountability measure? Or do you feel that you have all the
information you need and that it will get better if you just keep working

You must want business empowerment more than just saying affirmations daily.
Your desire must be a burning desire a must have in order to propel you
towards the maximum empowerment you so desire to realize.

You will never have the business you want without diligent pursuit,
mindset shifts, goals, clarity of vision and more.
It's going to take more than a casual approach to any endeavor.

Woman Entrepreneur tips: Do I really need an autoresponder?

There are many tools and resources available to woman
entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, business people for that matter.
With the array of tools available you may find yourself a bit
confused or overwhelmed.

One of these tools are autoresponders. Auto who? Autoresponders.
Autoresponders are used to achieve many of the marketing tasks
that are essential to a successful online business.
In today’s online business world,
you simply cannot succeed at Internet marketing
without the use of autoresponders.

If you’re involved in Internet marketing in the least you know that it
can be very time consuming.
Whether you do affiliate marketing or market your
own products, an autoresponder is a big part of your
marketing arsenal. Autoresponders are used to keep
in contact with your past customers, and to develop
a relationship with potential customers.

An autoresponder can be used to deliver sales
messages to your opt-in customer list. It can be
used to deliver email courses, to send reminders,
and even to help you build an opt-in list if you don’t
already have one. There are many creative ways you
can use your autoresponder to make more sales and
to build customer relations.

I know many of you have heard that follow up is key.
Another important thing to know is that your prospective
clients/customers must know, like and trust you. This is done
through providing value added content, interaction, follow
up with your customers and more.

Any successful marketer will tell you that there are
two tools that are vital to any type of online
marketing – an opt-in list and an autoresponder. In
fact, most marketers will agree that you could take
away all of their other marketing tools, but they
would fight to keep the list and the

If you’ve signed up for an autoresponder and haven’t
been utilizing it, get started. Most autoresponders have
tutorials, guides etc. to help you learn to use the system.
If you don’t have an autoresponder yet I recommend
the Aweber system and you can learn more here.

I will talk more about marketing you and give some information
on marketing your business which will include this great resource
and others during the Dream launch program. Get registered

What comes first, the compass or the clock?

What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can
truly "manage time" (the clock), it is important to know where
you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which
direction you are headed (the compass).

Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going.
Rather than always focusing on what's urgent, learn to focus on
what is really important.

Every Woman Entrepreneur, WAHM should do this to accelerate their ultimate success. Guaranteed!

As women entrepreneurs and a WAHM we are met with daily challenges
that if left to ourselves may take months and even years to overcome.
There is one thing that if and when you commit to do will render
maximized empowering success and that one thing is to have a mentor.
You can have a mentor for your personal, spiritual and or business growth.

This is what Oprah Winfrey says about a mentor:
A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself…
someone who allows you to know that no matter how dark the night, in
the morning joy will come… someone who allows you to see the higher
part of yourself when sometimes it becomes hidden to your own view.

I think mentors are important and I don't think anybody makes it in
the world without some form of mentorship. Nobody makes it alone.
Nobody has made it alone. And we are all mentors to people even when
we don't know it."

How many of you would rather reinvent the wheel or learn everything
by hard knocks?

How many of you long for someone to just listen and at the appropriate
time offer value added feed back? Ever feel like you’re all alone and
find it hard to stay motivated?

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, you don’t have to do it alone and there is someone who is ready and willing to listen to you and also offer key strategies and wisdom to help you move forward in life.

A mentor should be:
Someone who is going the way you want to go.
Someone with integrity and who you respect.
Someone who encourages you to get started and provide energy when you hear them or read their content
Someone you trust will tell you what you need to hear and not just what you want to hear
Someone that genuinely cares about people and from what you know are authentic

The above should be the minimum that you find in your prospect for a mentor.

Benefits of having a mentor include but are not limited to:
Someone to listen and guide you in your endeavors
Provides motivation
Helps build your self esteem and confidence
Increases your levels of achievement

A couple of things that could hinder your relationship with a mentor:
A know it all attitude
Whining and complaining regardless of shared strategies
A lack of openness
Little or no commitment to the relationship

When you invite a mentor into your life and add this valuable resource to your life I guarantee you will accelerate your ultimate success. I know because I have experienced this myself and have gained so much leverage from having mentors in my life at various seasons of my life.

How does a woman entrepreneur resist fear and build courage?

As a woman entrepreneur you are faced with many opportunities to
give up and yield to the obstacles that you are sure to face.

The question is how do you resist fear and build courage?
Fear can hinder you from achieving your goals. Fear can actually
sabotage any effort made towards setting goals, however, once you
have managed to set your goals the objective is to move on them and
set action plans to achieve those goals.

You may already know that a person’s fear can hinder their chances
for development and for success. Fear in itself can be debilitating
and can limit a person’s ability to go through life in a healthy way.

There is a good fear, for instance if a bus is heading in your path,
swerving you have a right to fear. There is nothing wrong with healthy
fear. You are at this time being alerted by fear that there is danger.

So how do you resist fear?

Make a choice not to entertain fear.

Next take time to learn where your fear is originating from.
Develop your confidence. Yes, confidence. We may exhibit fear because
we are not confident in the task we’re undertaking or may resort to
operating in fear of failure which is fueled by a lack of confidence.

You develop your confidence by being educated in your area of operation,
having your vision, mission and strategic plans for building a successful
business in place. You develop your confidence by surrounding yourselves
with empowered, like-minded women, a coach, mentor and or trainer. Also
by identifying programs and services that will empower you to stand out
from your competition and operate in excellence within your niche.

Move in the face of fear. Let’s face it there will be times that you are experiencing fear so you might as well make the choice that when this
happens you are going to move, simply move forward in the face of fear.

Don’t focus on fear. Focus on building faith and becoming faith-full.
You see fear is the opposite of Faith. So if you’re not operating in
Faith then you are operating in Fear. The objective is not to put all
of our focus on eliminating fear but embracing life skills that allow
us to freely move forward.

Which brings me to the next area and that is courage.

What is courage?

Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger,
fear, or difficulty synonyms Courage, mettle, spirit, resolution,
tenacity mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or
hardship. Courage implies firmness of mind and will in the face of
danger or extreme difficulty .
Miriam Webster Dictionary

Building courage will help you take risks to a brighter future that you
ordinarily would not take. When you build courage, you put fear behind you.
Courage is the process of admitting that you have fears, yet you are
willing to find a way to defeat those fears and not allow these fears to
take control of you. It is ok to experience your fears at appropriate times.
Building courage will allow you to self-direct yourself in life. You will
learn to accept consequences and rewards gracefully.

A person that has learned to accept responsibility is a courageous
person who will often feel motivated to accept blame and responsibility
while reviewing their actions and using what they learn to move forward.
You will not find courageous people stepping back when opportunities come
their way, they will step to the front.
On the other hand, a courageous person will step back and take a view at his or
her mistakes gracefully.

One key thing essential to building your courage is to always involve yourself
in self improvement. A person willing to improve their life will relax.
This person will relax even when plans fail. For instance, if it stormed the
next day the person will find something else to occupy her time and
feel just as fulfilled while partcipating in this activity and still being
productive knowing that the opportune time will come for the postponed event.

Inner peace is also key. There’s nothing like facing challenges and set backs
with much more ease because you have inner peace.

Yes, as a woman entrepreneur you will face obstacles and things may not always go the way you’ve planned but with continued self improvement, personal, spiritual and business development you will learn to resist fear and move forward with courage.
Now I invite you to take it a step further by requesting my empowering resource “Overcome, fear, doubt and
