There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back. ~Tom DeMarco and Timothy Lister

How many years have you lost to procrastination?

How many missed opportunities, relationships lost and loved ones
gone on and we missed the last opportunity to speak love to them?

It's a painful thing to look back at the impact the disempowering
act of procrastination has cost us.

Truth is as the quote states above there are a million ways to lose a
work day, but not even a single way to get one back. All of the time
lost cannot be regained.

We may be able to repair the damage to our bodies by improved health
habits, however, continued procrastination can render our bodies to
the point of no return.

Why do we procrastinate? Fear
I believe we are held captive to our fear of rejection, incompletion,
success, failure, the unknown and more. Yes, Fear is one of the reasons
we procrastinate. There are many more reasons that can contributed
to why we procrastinate.

What can you do about the disempowering behavior procrastination?
I'll be sharing procrastination busters during my next Teleseminar.

Woman entrepreneur empowerment: 4 tips for effectively using social media to drive traffic to your sites

Social media and Web 2.0 have been here for some time now. Experts predict that this trend will only grow. That means if you don’t start using social media now – today – you’ll be left behind.

In my interactions with women in my networks I hear confusion, a little anxiety and apprehension where it concerns using social media.

It can be a very good resource when you lay a good foundation and understand some of the guidelines.

Listed below are 4 tips for effectively using social media to drive traffic to your sites…

1. Complete your profile.

When you first open your Twitter, Facebook, Squidoo or other social media site account, fill out your profile (including a picture). Doing so makes it easier for people to get to know you and build relationships with you, which will make it more likely they’ll click through to your site. Did you know that some of your potential followers will not follow simply because you didn’t provide a picture?
If you’re serious about your business (and I know you are) take the time to include a picture.

2. Interact.

It is no coincidence that the name Social media includes the word social. They’re two way streets (not monologues). That’s why you shouldn’t just post content and move on. Instead, spend a few minutes each day interacting and getting to know people in your network. Simply respond to tweets, updates etc. The key again is to be social. Now you do this within reason and you don’t spend all day on social media networks. That’s another topic.

3. Include a link to your site on your profile page.

Your profile page is considered real estate and you must use all of your internet real estate to the full potential. This tip is simple but effective: Give people a reason to click through from the social media site to your blog or squeeze page. Your potential customer/client must get to know, like and trust you and this is a
Good way to get started.

4. Ask your followers/friends to retweet

On twitter your updates are called tweets and other sites my be updates or posts. If you create a “buzzworthy” post (such as a post on a hot or even controversial niche topic), ask your Twitter followers to “retweet” it. You can simply include “Plz RT” at the end of your tweets since there is a 140 character limit.

Now is the time to get involved if you’d like to grow your business. Social media is only expected to grow in the future. –You can start today by applying the four traffic-generating, relationship-building tips you just discovered!

There are many more tips and information to be shared around social media. I will share this and more during my Dream launch Mentoring and Coaching program.

At the time of the writing of this article I am approaching 5000 followers on Twitter and I didn’t use any gimmicks or other things to reach this point. If you want to learn more about social media join me. Go to my Dream Launch enrollment site here.

There's no time like the present to embark on your business empowerment journey through learned strategies and keys for your empowering success.

Women and Business Empowerment: How bad do you want it?

There are many interpretations of the word empowerment. I've listed
a simple definition below.

Empowerment: The act of giving power and authority to a person to perform his designated tasks and being enabled to do what is needed to accomplish a
given task, goal and mission.

Empowerment is a choice. You either choose to embrace empowerment
by learned life skill sets and other avenues or choose to sabotage any
level of success by continuing disempowering behaviors, neglecting
to learn and apply best practices and by failing to get clear on your
vision, goals and purpose in life.

Women today fulfill many roles and most are either in business
and experience phenomenal success or in business and are slowly
becoming disenchanted with the whole idea of women in business.

Business empowerment entails being diligent in utilizing effective
systems. Just as you have a system down for washing clothes, paying
bills or handling correspondence etc., there are systems that when used
diligently will empower your business.

The question is how bad to you want it? Business Empowerment.

I was watching the movie "Temptations" with my family and I recall one
scene where Berry Gordy asked his quality control team when listening
to one of the Temp's songs which one would you choose the record or a
sandwich? The response to the first song was a sandwich.
The next time he asked their response was the record. Being a
recording artist and songwriter myself I totally understood what
was being implied.

The concept was in order for the song to be a hit a customer would need
to desire the record so much that they would pass up buying something to
eat if they had to make that choice.

Well how do you see your business? Do you want it bad enough that you'd
pass up a couple nights out to be able to invest in the system or program that
you know will propel you forward? Or is the desire not strong enough and you
could still put it off saying to yourself "it will happen."

Do you desire it bad enough to put in hours weekly with a marketing plan
for realized growth instead of watching your favorite show? Or do you lack
the burning desire to pass up the show to gain new ground in your marketing
efforts?

Do you desire it bad enough to stop the insanity "doing the same thing
expecting different results" and connect with new systems, strategies
and an accountability measure? Or do you feel that you have all the
information you need and that it will get better if you just keep working
harder?

You must want business empowerment more than just saying affirmations daily.
Your desire must be a burning desire a must have in order to propel you
towards the maximum empowerment you so desire to realize.

You will never have the business you want without diligent pursuit,
mindset shifts, goals, clarity of vision and more.
It's going to take more than a casual approach to any endeavor.

Business empowerment and ultimate success, how bad do you want it?

I'd like to help you become clear on your vision, goals, unique positioning and

A woman entrepreneur can alter her life with a positive empowered attitude!

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can
alter his life by altering his attitudes. ~William James

What one thing can make the difference in a successful Woman
Entrepreneur and one that merely exists? Attitude.

Show me a woman with a positive empowered attitude and I'll show you a
woman who makes strides and whose success surpasses others
during recession, challenges and crisis.

Show me a woman with a negative disempowered attitude and I'll show you
a woman that has an excuse around every turn for why she can't succeed in any
endeavor. This woman sees the glass half empty and continues to whine
about it instead of seeking a solution.

It's been said that your attitude determines your altitude. Which one of
the above named women has a better chance of accelerated growth, attracting
opportunity, clients etc. ?

Right. The woman with the positive attitude.

Do you recognize the woman with the negative attitude? If so, don't feel bad
you can do something about it. The first thing is to make a choice to resist
negativity. Negative environments, negative people, negative thoughts and
a negative attitude.

Embrace an attitude of Gratitude
It's easier to resist a negative attitude when you learn to embrace an
attitude of Gratitude.

Discover your vision and purpose
A woman without a vision or does not know her purpose is subject to having
a negative attitude. Your vision and purpose will propel you towards
ultimate success. It will fuel your motivation and increase your energy.

Cultivate a success mindset
A positive empowered attitude and a success mindset go hand in hand.
There's no time for a failure mindset if you want to finally realize your
dreams.

Connect with a Mentor/Coach/Trainer for accountability, support, guidance,
motivation and encouragement.

Woman Entrepreneur tips: Do I really need an autoresponder?

There are many tools and resources available to woman
entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, business people for that matter.
With the array of tools available you may find yourself a bit
confused or overwhelmed.

One of these tools are autoresponders. Auto who? Autoresponders.
Autoresponders are used to achieve many of the marketing tasks
that are essential to a successful online business.
In today’s online business world,
you simply cannot succeed at Internet marketing
without the use of autoresponders.

If you’re involved in Internet marketing in the least you know that it
can be very time consuming.
Whether you do affiliate marketing or market your
own products, an autoresponder is a big part of your
marketing arsenal. Autoresponders are used to keep
in contact with your past customers, and to develop
a relationship with potential customers.

An autoresponder can be used to deliver sales
messages to your opt-in customer list. It can be
used to deliver email courses, to send reminders,
and even to help you build an opt-in list if you don’t
already have one. There are many creative ways you
can use your autoresponder to make more sales and
to build customer relations.

I know many of you have heard that follow up is key.
Another important thing to know is that your prospective
clients/customers must know, like and trust you. This is done
through providing value added content, interaction, follow
up with your customers and more.

Any successful marketer will tell you that there are
two tools that are vital to any type of online
marketing – an opt-in list and an autoresponder. In
fact, most marketers will agree that you could take
away all of their other marketing tools, but they
would fight to keep the list and the
autoresponder!

If you’ve signed up for an autoresponder and haven’t
been utilizing it, get started. Most autoresponders have
tutorials, guides etc. to help you learn to use the system.
If you don’t have an autoresponder yet I recommend
the Aweber system and you can learn more here.

I will talk more about marketing you and give some information
on marketing your business which will include this great resource
and others during the Dream launch program. Get registered
here

What comes first, the compass or the clock?

What comes first, the compass or the clock? Before one can
truly "manage time" (the clock), it is important to know where
you are going, what your priorities and goals are, in which
direction you are headed (the compass).

Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are going.
Rather than always focusing on what's urgent, learn to focus on
what is really important.

Learn more about how being clear on your vision,
goals, niche and more can turbo charge your ultimate success
and allow for business breakthrough.

Every Woman Entrepreneur, WAHM should do this to accelerate their ultimate success. Guaranteed!

As women entrepreneurs and a WAHM we are met with daily challenges
that if left to ourselves may take months and even years to overcome.
There is one thing that if and when you commit to do will render
maximized empowering success and that one thing is to have a mentor.
You can have a mentor for your personal, spiritual and or business growth.

This is what Oprah Winfrey says about a mentor:
A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself…
someone who allows you to know that no matter how dark the night, in
the morning joy will come… someone who allows you to see the higher
part of yourself when sometimes it becomes hidden to your own view.

I think mentors are important and I don't think anybody makes it in
the world without some form of mentorship. Nobody makes it alone.
Nobody has made it alone. And we are all mentors to people even when
we don't know it."

How many of you would rather reinvent the wheel or learn everything
by hard knocks?

How many of you long for someone to just listen and at the appropriate
time offer value added feed back? Ever feel like you’re all alone and
find it hard to stay motivated?

You don’t have to reinvent the wheel, you don’t have to do it alone and there is someone who is ready and willing to listen to you and also offer key strategies and wisdom to help you move forward in life.

A mentor should be:
Someone who is going the way you want to go.
Someone with integrity and who you respect.
Someone who encourages you to get started and provide energy when you hear them or read their content
Someone you trust will tell you what you need to hear and not just what you want to hear
Someone that genuinely cares about people and from what you know are authentic

The above should be the minimum that you find in your prospect for a mentor.

Benefits of having a mentor include but are not limited to:
Someone to listen and guide you in your endeavors
Provides motivation
Helps build your self esteem and confidence
Increases your levels of achievement

A couple of things that could hinder your relationship with a mentor:
A know it all attitude
Whining and complaining regardless of shared strategies
A lack of openness
Little or no commitment to the relationship

When you invite a mentor into your life and add this valuable resource to your life I guarantee you will accelerate your ultimate success. I know because I have experienced this myself and have gained so much leverage from having mentors in my life at various seasons of my life.

I invite you to explore the opportunities afforded you to utilize my mentoring services.

How does a woman entrepreneur resist fear and build courage?

As a woman entrepreneur you are faced with many opportunities to
give up and yield to the obstacles that you are sure to face.

The question is how do you resist fear and build courage?
Fear can hinder you from achieving your goals. Fear can actually
sabotage any effort made towards setting goals, however, once you
have managed to set your goals the objective is to move on them and
set action plans to achieve those goals.

You may already know that a person’s fear can hinder their chances
for development and for success. Fear in itself can be debilitating
and can limit a person’s ability to go through life in a healthy way.

There is a good fear, for instance if a bus is heading in your path,
swerving you have a right to fear. There is nothing wrong with healthy
fear. You are at this time being alerted by fear that there is danger.

So how do you resist fear?

Make a choice not to entertain fear.

Next take time to learn where your fear is originating from.
Develop your confidence. Yes, confidence. We may exhibit fear because
we are not confident in the task we’re undertaking or may resort to
operating in fear of failure which is fueled by a lack of confidence.

You develop your confidence by being educated in your area of operation,
having your vision, mission and strategic plans for building a successful
business in place. You develop your confidence by surrounding yourselves
with empowered, like-minded women, a coach, mentor and or trainer. Also
by identifying programs and services that will empower you to stand out
from your competition and operate in excellence within your niche.

Move in the face of fear. Let’s face it there will be times that you are experiencing fear so you might as well make the choice that when this
happens you are going to move, simply move forward in the face of fear.

Don’t focus on fear. Focus on building faith and becoming faith-full.
You see fear is the opposite of Faith. So if you’re not operating in
Faith then you are operating in Fear. The objective is not to put all
of our focus on eliminating fear but embracing life skills that allow
us to freely move forward.

Which brings me to the next area and that is courage.

What is courage?

Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger,
fear, or difficulty synonyms Courage, mettle, spirit, resolution,
tenacity mental or moral strength to resist opposition, danger, or
hardship. Courage implies firmness of mind and will in the face of
danger or extreme difficulty .
Miriam Webster Dictionary

Building courage will help you take risks to a brighter future that you
ordinarily would not take. When you build courage, you put fear behind you.
Courage is the process of admitting that you have fears, yet you are
willing to find a way to defeat those fears and not allow these fears to
take control of you. It is ok to experience your fears at appropriate times.
Building courage will allow you to self-direct yourself in life. You will
learn to accept consequences and rewards gracefully.

A person that has learned to accept responsibility is a courageous
person who will often feel motivated to accept blame and responsibility
while reviewing their actions and using what they learn to move forward.
You will not find courageous people stepping back when opportunities come
their way, they will step to the front.
On the other hand, a courageous person will step back and take a view at his or
her mistakes gracefully.

One key thing essential to building your courage is to always involve yourself
in self improvement. A person willing to improve their life will relax.
This person will relax even when plans fail. For instance, if it stormed the
next day the person will find something else to occupy her time and
feel just as fulfilled while partcipating in this activity and still being
productive knowing that the opportune time will come for the postponed event.

Inner peace is also key. There’s nothing like facing challenges and set backs
with much more ease because you have inner peace.

Yes, as a woman entrepreneur you will face obstacles and things may not always go the way you’ve planned but with continued self improvement, personal, spiritual and business development you will learn to resist fear and move forward with courage.
Now I invite you to take it a step further by requesting my empowering resource “Overcome, fear, doubt and
unbelief.”
