In a recent call "5 simple secrets to begin living your delicious life"
I shared this as one of the secrets. There are 4 plus additional secrets
that were shared and are essential to women's life empowerment
endeavors and living a delicious life!
Secret # 2 was to get your life in good shape.
You must make sure your life is in good shape, although I didn't
go into detail on the call about Total Wellness this is also
very, very important.
Areas included under this secret were:
Life balance
During the Breakthrough mentoring and coaching program each participant
will have a chance to reflect on this by utilizing one of the popular
assessments of the industry. This is not something that is locked in
to the 12 week period , however, it will give you another accountability
measure continuing beyond the 12 week period. One of the areas of this tool includes Physical environment and one of the sentences states my personal
files and papers are neatly filed away and if you’re good here you would
check it if not you don’t – At the end there’s a scoring system and there
is an ideal score that you want.
Another area is Health and emotional balance- And one of the sentences
in this area reads.... I very seldom use chocolate, coffee, colas, tea
less than 3 times per week total. We will also use a tool that will be
very instrumental in taking a look at your life balance, giving you a
measuring stick to allow for improvement. You see many times we major
on the minors and wonder why we aren’t achieving the results we so desire.
Strong Divine Connection –
We need to feed our soul, body and our spirit and it is imperative
that you have a strong divine connection which for me and others on
this call is a God our Father and you must be committed to your
spiritual authority which would be God, your pastor and those of
you that are married your husbands. It’s about order and when you have order you will live a delicious life!

Woman entrepreneur tips: 5 dangers of playing small
How many opportunities have you missed out on or dreams have been
sabotaged because of your playing small? I'm going to share 5 dangers
of a woman entrepreneur playing small.
1. Playing small sends a message to young women that we don't deserve more.
I can't tell you how many times my girls (now young women) have shared,
how my pursuit of my best empowered life and strong faith has enabled them
to reach for more and refuse to whine and make excuses for why they can't
do what they need to.
This includes my oldest who was diagnosed with MS and later told
it was NMO (a good thing in some ways). She lost her vision at one
point and continued to reach and yes she did recover and we all
received great empowerment through the journey. She remained independent
even while attending school. My youngest who started in middle school
pursuing her dream of attending a black university, received the Gates
millennium scholarship, stayed off the dorm, graduated and went to France
for the Cannes Film program. They had their challenges and yet they
were influenced by my life and their Father's, my husband and their
strong faith.
2. You stop the supernatural divine intervention of God from flowing in
your life. Our God is a BIG God and when we play small we are not
allowing Him to be who He is and will be to us.
3. You feed the mindset of mediocrity. There is so much more available and
when you play small you're settling. It's important that you are motivated
to reach for more, reach for excellence.
4. You remain in the zone of what could of been. This is not good.
Instead of your energies going toward fueling your dreams by being
clear on your vision, purpose and goals and then learning how to
advance towards achievement you're constantly looking back and reflecting
on what could have been. Don't look back at the end when it's too late
wondering what could have been. The time is now. It's all you have.
5. And last but definitely not least is that you're held in bondage to and
fuel low self esteem and a lack of confidence. You cannot possibly feel
too good about yourself when you play small. You're subjected to
comparing yourself with others and may even become very critical of
others because you are not happy with yourself and therefore also
don't have very healthy relationships.
If you feel that you've been playing small it's not too late to
change it. I invite you to begin today. Open the door to your big, bold
and beautiful life.
Don't let anyone make you feel guilty for wanting more. This is your
life and there are many that need to hear your message and benefit from
your gift(s). As I always say "God's gift to us is life and what
we do with it is our gift back to him!"
Make a quantum leap. There's no time to move slow. Of course you
use wisdom and chart your course, however, it's time to have a
mindset shift to "Quantum leaps." Think Big, Dream Big, Play
a bigger game and live Big!

Women's Empowerment: Coming to terms with inner/outer peace and time is essential to life balance
Time is what we want most, but... what we use worst. ~William Penn
What a powerful little quote. This is one of most popular
concerns among the women who respond to my short survey and
that I have conversations with.
How would your life change, your business if you had more
time? How important is peace to our empowering success?
I often share with my clients the fact that our environments must
also support what we do and there are actually nine environments.
We need to have peaceful environments and clients will be drawn to a peaceful environment and again I'm not just talking about your physical environment I'm also talking about the environment of you. In the Breakthrough 2010 Mentoring and Coaching program I will reflect on the internal and external. This is where we miss it at times.
When talking in respect of time and peace there are four areas of focus.
1. Peace requires a deeper sense of yourself to the point that
you stop having concerns or worries. To get to this rich
place, one needs to learn and understand more about what
time is, how it works and how to relate with it properly.
Including the outlined principles will accelerate you towards
Peace and having plenty of time.
2. Having time and peace usually calls for a change in routine,
priorities and lifestyle. One may have to radically change
one's habits and conditions just to free the pendulum; it may
whack itself on the opposite side of the case before finding
its natural center of balance. It's worth the risk, but make
sure you have the money, space and time to shift your
relationship with time and peace.
3. In addition to changing habits, one can benefit by
developing or strengthening interpersonal and life
management skills.
4. To have time and peace, one usually needs to give up
some behaviors or routines. During this process, you may
feel irritable, free, boredom, confusion, a sense of loss, or
rushes of energy. Just remember: One usually needs to
pass though the gates of boredom to enter the garden of
peace. Be willing to be bored and work through that.

Women's empowerment Q & A: How do I get clear when I have so many things I like, but no real "passion" for any one particular thing?
In today's post I want to respond to one of the comments on my
survey. The question was:
How do I get clear when I have so many things I like, but no real "passion" for any one particular thing? Especially in terms of business/career
When talking about getting clear whether it's personal, spiritual or business it
begins with you. Many times we focus on the external when talking about our
business/career when in essence the problem may lie internally.
The first place I like to begin in a situation such as this is self discovery
or with a self assessment. Before we get clear we must know more about ourselves.
Get clear on things such as
What matters most to you?
What are your limiting beliefs?
What are your core values?
This will also help in the endeavor to discover or rediscover your passion.
And then there's focus. This is one area which can set you up for
sabotage of your empowering success and that is a lack of focus. Close
the gap by becoming aware of fatal distractions as mentioned in my eBook
The Dynamic Power of Focus.
There are many strategies that can be used to help you in this area as well.
Last but not least and definitely not exclusive is being clear on your purpose.
Purpose will fuel passion, purpose will propel you to take action and move
forward with an extra zeal for life. Out of every endeavor in life it's important
that you are clear on God's purpose for you everything else is an imitation.
And you know I'm for discovering the authentic you.
There are many things that could be added here, however, we'll
save that for another time. Why not simply make the choice today to
do something about how you feel. How long has it been? If it's been
2 - 5 years then I ask you why? No one is going to do anymore about
your life than you're willing to do.
Besides you've been given gifts that need to be shared with the world.
Begin today with you. Make a resolve that you will step forward and make
the connection needed to get clear, refuel your passion and live your
best empowered life on purpose.

Women's Empowerment: Diary of a mad woman entrepreneur
No there's no error here I'm writing a twist on the popular movie by Tyler Perry
"Diary of a mad black woman."
In this movie the woman depicted as the wife of a lawyer who arrived to
a pivotal time of his life and was up for an award. This should have been
a time of celebration of the new season that they together had worked to
achieve, however, the husband had other ideas he had a woman on the side
who gave birth to two children and shared in the fruits of the husband's
labor. The wife soon learned after the ceremony that her life would
soon change when her husband shared that it was over and I might say in
the presence of his mistress. What were her emotions at that time?
How would you feel? All of her years of dedication , doing everything she knew
to do right and this is what life presents to her. Yes , she has a right to
be mad, she even has a right to seek vengeance. A man came into her life
that seemed to offer her a second chance and he appeared to be a good man.
Soon there would be an interuption her husband is shot and is left to
the decision of his mistress and still wife "Helen." The mistress left and
Helen returned to his side. Opportunity! Yes, Helen had in her hands
a time to seek vengeance and she gave it a good shot or should I say
gave him a good slap, shove in the sauna and more. I believe the fear
also caused her to return to what she knew and what she needed was the
courage to move away from the pain and begin again.
Did her actions set her free? She may have felt good at the time,
however, her mother reminded her about forgiveness, no not for Charles'
sake but for her sake. There was her door of opportunity. A door that she
could open or shut tight. She chose to open the door thereby setting herself
free to take a chance on new love.
Why do I tell you this story because there are many women entrepreneurs who
have had disappointments, felt pain, been abused , taken advantage of and
more and unlike Helen you've shut the door "tight." You are a mad woman
entrepreneur vowing to hold on to your anger, vowing to never give
it another try because you've tried to do all the right things and
this is where it left you. You've tried books, seminars, teleseminars,
relationships and "nothing has helped!"
It's never too late to redeem your dream is a quote that is by
Sharon Williams I believe. I want to give that to you. As long as
you have breath in your body there's still time there's still hope.
Another quote: When the world says, "Give up,"Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."~Author Unknown
I invite you to open the door to forgiveness. Forgive all of those who
you feel have hurt and disappointed you. Most of all forgive yourself.
Open the door to your best empowered life. Learn how to use the intense
pressures of your life to tap into and unleash your BRILLIANCE!

Trust God and His gift "life" , step out in faith with a mentor,trainer

Women's Empowerment: Losing focus can immobilize you and hinder your empowering success in life
How can I stay focused while in the midst of so many distracting
situations in my life? Was one of the questions submitted in
my survey. This is all too true for many people, especially women
who are at times considered superwoman. As women we wear so many
hats. Sometimes it's because we allow ourselves to carry so much
and refuse to delegate due to the fact that we can do it better.
This is not the best solution for realized women's empowerment.
Losing focus can immobilize you and hinder your empowering success
in life. This is why it's important to learn life skills that will
allow you to get focused and stay focused. You may be saying that's good,
however, what about when crisis comes or I'm bombarded by so many
situations that I become overwhelmed and distracted what do I do
then? I'll share a few keys below that are also included in my special report
"How to stay focused in crisis."
Don’t panic!
This is number one here as this may be the natural response by most and that is to Panic. When I heard the call from my daughter saying “mommy I can’t see” my first inclination was to panic and then I gave the call to my husband so that I could regroup and reach into my Faith. Panic will send you spiraling down a staircase of many emotions sending you deeper and deeper into a mode of gloom and defeat. Below I share other things you must do to stay focused that you also must do that will fuel your ability to resist the panic stage. Unless you make an agreement with yourself that you will not panic the other keys may not be as effective in your endeavor to learn skills to help you stay focused in crisis.
Passion or burning desire
Having passion and a burning desire will drive you through that crisis. Many times we have to reignite our passion, reignite our burning desire. Do the steps needed to do that. And as you’re going through my Inner Circle or other programs or you’re a private coaching client stick to the activities and make sure you take action. Passion and burning desire is what you must have and this will help drive you through that crisis.
Last but not least, cast your cares on Father God because He cares
for you. Stay connected with the source. The source of your power
, the source of love and a sound mind.
You must do what it takes to accomplish your goals. You are empowered
through your union with Father God. Take at least one thing that you’ve
learned and apply it and then continue. Don’t be overwhelmed, don’t
stress yourself out as this will further discourage you and distract you.
The power is within you. You can begin your endeavor to stay focused in crisis
or any other time of your life as you apply what I have shared with you.

Women's Empowerment tips: One thing you must know .... Read empowering excerpt....
One thing you must know for maximum breakthrough in 2010!
A mindset shift is crucial. I’ve talked about mindset for quite a
bit and I will continue to talk about it because it is one thing
that sabotages our success in life. There are a couple
of mindset shifts that need to happen if you’re going to have
breakthrough in 2010 and realize the benefits of women’s empowerment.
I’ll list four of them below.
1. Thoughts
Your thoughts play a big role in what you manifest and have manifested.
Your subconscious mind is ready to move on what you say and what you
think. It doesn’t know the difference between Whether you’re serious or
if your statement or thought is temporary based on your current situation
or not. Your subconscious mind is ready to move on whatever you present
to it as such it’s important that you make the shift towards a positive
mindset.
Your thoughts become energy. If your thoughts are negative, the
energy is negative; If positive , then the energy is positive.
When emotions become involved with the thoughts, the energy is even
stronger. The energy, however, doesn’t remain dormant – it expands.
It expands each time you think your thought.
As energy builds and gains strength, it begins to attract like energy.
Like a magnet, the energy attracts other like matter to it. Since the
energy is inside you, it attracts the like matter to you.
As you can see, negative thoughts and energy weaken you and your
ability to achieve.
2. Quantum leap
There’s no more time to move slow on your aspirations. It’s time to make
quantum leaps. Time to think bigger, dream bigger and live bigger. Yes,
you want to learn the necessary skills and strategies and lay a strong
foundation, however, when you move you want to move with great intentions
and in a Big way for Big results.
3. Success
Many of us have been conditioned by society, our environment, relationships
etc. and this his left us with a failure mindset and even a mentality of inferiority. It’s imperative that you surround yourself with a mentor
and/or coach that will allow you to embrace a success mindset. You can’t
afford to surround yourself with individuals with negative mindsets,
individuals that are not trying to pursue their greatness or stretch.
Do what you have to do to make the shift to a success mindset.
Successful people do what unsuccessful people aren’t willing to do.
4. Abundance
You can no longer operate in a scarcity mentality. This type of
individual operates from a place of limitation and not enough. Make
the shift from a mindset of lack to that of abundance. See, hear
and speak abundance. As I read on one of my calls from Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power
that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and]
do super abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or
think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes,
or dreams]--
21To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout
all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it)
There you have it. No shortage. God is able to do more than enough!
Renew your vision to His vision, see through His eyes the abundance
that He has for His children.

Women's Empowerment tips: Do you really know what you want in life?
Many people are disappointed with where they are in
life or are confused about how to get where they want to go.
There are many who have not even discovered this until it’s
too late.
How much time have you spent watching television or even doing
things that don’t really matter.
The first thing you must do is determine what you really want in life.
You may need to go back to when you were a child as some of our
Dreams were influenced by family, our environment, society our
church and others. You cannot even begin to set goals if you’re
not sure of this.
Now, don’t let it get you down if you’re not sure of what you really
want out of life. There are many ways of discovering your purpose
in life.
One place to begin is as I stated deep within as early as your childhood.
Do not let the influence of what others think you should be or do take
control of your thoughts. Now is the time to listen to your heart. Now
is the time to be authentic to be true to yourself.
What is it you truly love to do? This will represent your passion. What
is it that you would do with passion even if you weren’t paid to do it?
You will jump up each morning with excitement as you pursue your purpose
and passion.
Even when challenges come you will push forward as your passion fuels
your motivation. Of course you will have times that you experience
opposition, however, your passion, your heart’s desire will find ways
to overcome these obstacles.
Now take a few moments to jot down what you really want. Don’t try to
qualify it or second guess now is the time to let your heart speak.
There are other steps to take, however, without being clear on this you
will build an unstable foundation.
Here’s a great quote: If you want to get somewhere you have to know
where you want to go and how to get there. Then never, never, never
give up. - Norman Vincent Peale

Women's Empowerment tips: It's not over...Finish strong in 2009
We're here at the end of 2009 and you can look at it as the end and
that your op.portunity to achieve all that you wanted for 2009 is over.
Or.... you can look at it as an op.portunity to finish strong!
Yes, even in these last few weeks you can position yourself to
finish strong and jump-start your new year now.
Here are a few things you must do.
Get over yourself! OUCH!! Well we don't have a lot of time and you want
to hear it like it.... t-i-s tis right? So forget about all the reasons why you haven't
been successful accept for the activity of a professional self assessment.
Mindset shifts. Are your thoughts of success or failure and scarcity.
Make the shift to abundance and success. If you're in sales make the
shift from simply selling to sharing.
Eliminate those limiting beliefs. Let's face it we all have things that were
communicated to us and about us that influenced our success or lack thereof.
What has it done for you thus far? Not much if you're speaking of limiting
beliefs.
Set a few goals and attach action steps that you will complete daily to
achieve those goals. Write them down! Also always revisit your goals.
Get organized. Ughhh!! Yes, I said organization. This will help you
finish strong and jump-start 2010. Maybe this can be one of your goals.
To get organized!! Jot down daily action steps you'll need to take to
accomplish this. Get containers, bins, file folders, clear out the clutter,
designate a specific space for your office etc.
Get clear on your vision and if you're in business or aspire to start
a business get clear on who your niche (target market, who you serve)
is. This is very critical to your success. If you have no vision you have
no direction or navigation you are moving forward aimlessly if you're
moving forward at all.
Take inventory of the systems you have in place right now and
tweak any areas that didn't work.
Build your confidence and self esteem. This can be a great hindrance
to any endeavors whether personal, spiritual or business success.
Connect to an accountability measure. You know I have to say this.
This can be part of the big battle. You're on an island, trying to
reinvent the wheel, becoming overwhelmed and confessed.
You don't have to do that! Connect with a coach, mentor, trainer
hopefully that is or will be "me!"
Last but not least, commit to your spiritual authority. Your commitment
here will lay the foundation for anything you do. As Christians if you're married
your spiritual authority is your husband and Father God and those
unmarried it is Father God. It's important to have order and this
order would be based on the season of life you're in at this time.
Committing to Father God will help you fear-less and stay
faith-full.
There you have it a few tips on finishing strong. Of course there's much
more I could have said, however, we only have a few weeks left and
I don't want to overwhelm you.

Women's Empowerment: 10 reasons to hire a coach
1. You will set far better goals that motivate you in a healthy way.
Did you have Goal Setting 101 in high school? Probably not. Enter the Coach, an expert in helping you to identify and set the goals that you really want, not the ones that are "shoulds," pipedreams, that you've been recycling or that mirror the goals of your parents, society or Madison Avenue. Choosing the right goals for you is an art and the Coach takes the necessary time to help you clarify your personal values, so that you have something really solid on which to develop your goals. Value-based goals are naturally motivating, but it takes good Coaching to get to these.
2. You'll accomplish goals and tasks and projects much more quickly.
One of the reasons that people hire a Coach is to save themselves time. Working with a Coach, they learn how to be far more effective, efficient and productive in everything that they do, including their job/business or personal projects. We humans just aren't that naturally effective, even if we think that we are. The Coach has the tools and techniques to share with their clients so that things get done in half the time. Take your life back! Kick the habit of procrastination for maximized women's empowerment
There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not even a single way to get one back. ~Tom DeMarco and Timothy Lister
How many years have you lost to procrastination?
How many missed opportunities, relationships lost and loved ones
gone on and we missed the last opportunity to speak love to them?
It's a painful thing to look back at the impact the disempowering
act of procrastination has cost us.
Truth is as the quote states above there are a million ways to lose a
work day, but not even a single way to get one back. All of the time
lost cannot be regained.
We may be able to repair the damage to our bodies by improved health
habits, however, continued procrastination can render our bodies to
the point of no return.
Why do we procrastinate? Fear
I believe we are held captive to our fear of rejection, incompletion,
success, failure, the unknown and more. Yes, Fear is one of the reasons
we procrastinate. There are many more reasons that can contributed
to why we procrastinate.
