I recently posted an update to Facebook that received a
few inspired comments. I was not only speaking of women in
relationships with men as much as I was speaking overall
about the power you must express over your life and situations
that you face.
My audio 5 mistakes women make includes giving their power away
and this is so true, however, the quote above sheds a different light.
There are some who give up their power by thinking they don't have
any. Thinking that somehow they have to wait for approval to succeed.
Waiting to be validated instead of realizing that the power is within
them and success is in their hands.
How many times have you come to the realization that someone
was out to harm you or sabotage your endeavors and yet you
continued to tolerate their behavior and allow them in your space?

Honor your boundaries
Boundaries protect you from people that your spirit cannot easily afford.

You don't have to wait for anyone's permission to succeed. You have

find someone who is not for you have the courage to let them go. You
know it when you see it now be empowered through your union with your
Father God and let them go. It's not mean, you're protecting your
destiny. Eliminate the negatives. That is all.

Did you know that one critical thing to your breakthrough and authentic life empowerment is to make the right mindset shifts?
And one of those shifts is a shift to a success mindset. I've shared essential keys to mindset breakthroughs, the importance of a success mindset and today I want to share one of the hindrances to a success mindset. One hindrance is that of not being aware of fatal distractions and being overcome by fatal distractions.
One hindrance to a success mindset is that of not being aware of fatal distractions and being overcome by fatal distractions.
The following are the definitions as found in the dictionary.
Fatal: a: causing death b: bringing ruin c: causing failure
Distraction: a: the act of distracting or the state of being distracted; especially: mental confusion
We could say that it represents bringing ruin to our mental focus. Another way to look at it is causing death and mental confusion with regard to a desired outcome, destination, etc.
Let's move on and I'd like to present another view of fatal distraction.
One typo, two typos, three typos, four? This was the pattern that followed as I continued to read. It was a good book, something that would benefit my spirit man tremendously. I felt like I was being lifted, challenged, restored and then it happened.... The power of the reading was diluted and my attention was drawn to the errors. I'm not saying this to draw attention to the errors found in books or other readings as now you may look for errors in this article. (smile).
When I saw the first one it wasn't a big deal, then the second one and I said to myself wow two on one page. I turned the page and saw yet another and actually stopped to make sure the error was there.
What was this? Why am I so interested in the errors that are here? It wasn't the errors I was interested in it was a fatal distraction. The word fatal means "causing or ending in death." There is definite opposition to our success and the goal to make sure that we die spiritually and/or physically. You will be presented with distractions the bottom line is that many are meant to be fatal. It took me sometime to stop what I was doing to refresh myself with devotion, devotion that would give life and refresh my vision.
Watch out for fatal distractions. Don't let distractions break your focus or intercept your endeavor to make mindset shifts. Being consumed by fatal distractions can send negative energy to your subconscious mind.
Maybe you're trying to get clear on your goals, vision and purpose you must do whatever is needed to overcome the fatal distractions that will come. Defuse the power of the opposition to your endeavours.
When you pray turn off the ringer on the phone if you must. Have devotions at the time of day where there is the least traffic going through your home.
How many fatal distractions have you been presented with? Is Father God trying to get you to the next level and can't because you are distracted by altercations that seem to occur often? Is He trying to warn you of your lack of spiritual development but you are being distracted by your commitment to your job and the promotion that may finally be realized? Maybe there is a witty idea and invention that is trying to be made available to you and yet you are more focused on another situation. Block the distraction! Press in, stay close, and draw nigh to Father God. Realize a mindset shift to success by being aware of and overcoming fatal distractions.

Woman entrepreneur tips: 3 essential keys to Business empowerment including juicy business numbers
What are your business goals for 2010? Have you set any?
Have you applied action steps to these goals?
If you want to realize business empowerment as a woman entrerpeneur
there are 3 essential keys.
1. You must be clear on your vision and purpose
This is why so many lose focus because you are not clear on
your vision and purpose. This is your navigation system and
we all know how much a good navigation system impacts the
beautiful, stressed-less process of arriving at the
desired destination.
2) You absolutely must know your juicy business numbers.
This includes developing a system for tracking based on what

Women's empowerment tips: Fuel your vision by being clear on your core values
When developing your vision it's important that you are clear on
your core values.
Continue reading this brief post on this important matter. It may
sound simple, however, it has significant impact on your overall
plan for personal, spiritual and business empowerment.
This is an excerpt from one of my calls in my Breakthrough preview

Core values
What is it in life that you most value? Do you value faith,teaching, beauty, leadership, creativity, stability, or family? You can choose to orient your life around your wants and needs or the list of things you feel you “should" be doing, but if you want to experience inspiration and joy at a level you never thought was possible embrace your core values and build your life around them. This is your personal, spiritual and business life.
Don't fall prey to following someone else's core values. That
is a big mistake. Get clear on your core values.
When you focus your business on doing what feels right and what
fulfills you, you will have no regrets, because you have been true
to the very core of your being.
Some more examples of values be aware, relate with God, Honoring,

Savvy women's tips: Happy Valentine's Day? Where is the love?
OK ladies it's Valentine's day tomorrow and I know there are mixed emotions.
Included in this blog post on savvy women's tips I want to share some insight
on love and hopefully motivate you to look at your life in a different way.
Bravo!!!! To those of you who are already living this way.
The greatest love to we as Christians is Father God's love as He gave His
only son for us.
I'd like you to remember that, however, I'd also like to focus on you.
Yes, you. In the bible it says to love your neighbor as you love yourself,
however, all too many times that's the problem we don't love ourselves!!
Ladies until we can learn to love ourselves it doesn't matter one bit how
many brothas, fellas you have.
You will probably self sabotage every relationship because you are
counting on the man to fulfill you and "to make you happy!"
You must come to terms with how unique, how special how absolutely
incredible you are. You are a unique one of a kind gift from Father God.
He didn't make robots.
There is a song that was so-o-o-o very instrumental in my learning to
love myself and to feel good about myself. It was a song that Whitney
Houston sang very early in her career and some of the words said
"learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."
You see when you love yourself you are less inclined to be intimidated
by those with more education, money, followers (smile) than you. A better
car, home, body than you might think that you have. You will be so confident
in who and whose you are that excuse me "none of it matters" enough to stop
or block you.
My gift to you is to challenge you to discover more about you.
Discover your core values, what makes you unique, what your purpose is.
And this savvy woman will help you live a delicious life with no apologies.

Women's Empowerment tips: How can I refrain from giving up?
If you want to get somewhere you have to know where you want to go and how
to get there. Then never, never, never give up. Norman Vincent Peal
The easiest thing to do is to give up. Whether it's giving up on your goals,
dreams, relationships etc. It doesn't take much to come to this
choice. And it is a choice. Each of us are given a choice we can
keep moving, stay persistent and consistent or choose to "Give up!"
Now, let's reflect on the quote above. I'm assuming that you do
want to get somewhere right?
One thing you must do is to know where you are going as mentioned
in the quote above. And all too many times that is one of the problems
you just don't even know where you want to go. You may complain about
what you don't have and how things have ended up and where you ended up.
Did you ever take the time to discover where it
is that you wanted to go? What is your vision,your dream, what are your
core values, who is your message to? All of these are important areas to
get clarity on.
How will you get there?
It's one thing to get clear on your goals, niche (who you serve),
and more and yet another to incorporate strategies and systems that
you'll use to get there. One thing you'll want to have is a mission
statement this not only helps others to see at a glance more of
what you're offering and to whom but helps you have a gage to measure
the effectiveness of your activities.
Back to setting goals. When setting goals it's not only good to do this
but to also make sure that you are setting effective goals and then add
action steps to your goals.
Why do individuals give up?
They may have become overwhelmed by too much information and lack the
needed support to actualize this information. Again, you don't have
goals in place aligned with daily action steps. There could be fear
in operation, fear of rejection, the unknown, failure, success etc.
A lack of Faith, courage and confidence.
There's no accountability measure in place. One accountability measure
you must have is a mentor,coach relationship. If you're not ready
for a formal mentoring/coaching relationship you need to consider being
part of a group that facilitates coaching and mentoring opportunities.
Most of these also provide tools, resources and assessments to reinforce
your experience.

Women and Business Empowerment: How bad do you want it?
There are many interpretations of the word empowerment. I've listed
a simple definition below.
Empowerment: The act of giving power and authority to a person to perform his designated tasks and being enabled to do what is needed to accomplish a
given task, goal and mission.
Empowerment is a choice. You either choose to embrace empowerment
by learned life skill sets and other avenues or choose to sabotage any
level of success by continuing disempowering behaviors, neglecting
to learn and apply best practices and by failing to get clear on your
vision, goals and purpose in life.
Women today fulfill many roles and most are either in business
and experience phenomenal success or in business and are slowly
becoming disenchanted with the whole idea of women in business.
Business empowerment entails being diligent in utilizing effective
systems. Just as you have a system down for washing clothes, paying
bills or handling correspondence etc., there are systems that when used
diligently will empower your business.
The question is how bad to you want it? Business Empowerment.
I was watching the movie "Temptations" with my family and I recall one
scene where Berry Gordy asked his quality control team when listening
to one of the Temp's songs which one would you choose the record or a
sandwich? The response to the first song was a sandwich.
The next time he asked their response was the record. Being a
recording artist and songwriter myself I totally understood what
was being implied.
The concept was in order for the song to be a hit a customer would need
to desire the record so much that they would pass up buying something to
eat if they had to make that choice.
Well how do you see your business? Do you want it bad enough that you'd
pass up a couple nights out to be able to invest in the system or program that
you know will propel you forward? Or is the desire not strong enough and you
could still put it off saying to yourself "it will happen."
Do you desire it bad enough to put in hours weekly with a marketing plan
for realized growth instead of watching your favorite show? Or do you lack
the burning desire to pass up the show to gain new ground in your marketing
efforts?
Do you desire it bad enough to stop the insanity "doing the same thing
expecting different results" and connect with new systems, strategies
and an accountability measure? Or do you feel that you have all the
information you need and that it will get better if you just keep working
harder?
You must want business empowerment more than just saying affirmations daily.
Your desire must be a burning desire a must have in order to propel you
towards the maximum empowerment you so desire to realize.
You will never have the business you want without diligent pursuit,
mindset shifts, goals, clarity of vision and more.
It's going to take more than a casual approach to any endeavor.
