Women's Empowerment: Independence Day - What does freedom mean to you?

We are celebrating Independence day in the United States and for Canada
I believe it began July 1.

When thinking about Women's Empowerment I can't help but reflect on
how we have been granted certain freedoms because of the sacrifices of many.

This is a short post, however, a very important point to speak to.

My question to you is "What does Freedom mean to you?"
My answer? Freedom to me is having the ability to do what I want, when I want, at the time that I desire and where I want while enjoying
my family and friends. This also includes my Faith.

Are you realizing this freedom? What are you doing to manifest this Freedom
in your life? Does your current business model support your idea of Freedom?

If freedom means something different to you, ask yourself the same questions.

We have so many opportunities to realize the freedoms that we desire.
Empowerment is a choice. You make the choice to realize maximum empowerment
or to continue your dis-empowering habits and as a result remain in the same place.

As you celebrate Independence day, set intentions on how you are going
to step up to realizing the Freedom you desire in your life today! Begin
living life on your terms by your design.

Happy Independence Day!

Women's Empowerment tips: You can do it! How to maintain your endeavors towards Empowerment and Self Improvement

Do you find it difficult to be consistent in your endeavors towards Empowerment and Self Improvement?

Once you have decided on empowering activities, you will face moments along your journey where it seems that you are not making progress toward your goal. It is natural.

Maintaining your endeavors when the results do not seem to be coming can be challenging. But then, you must not give up when you are pursuing a dream.

Stay on your course. Do not jump overboard. If you believe in your dream and is willing to see it through, you will surely enjoy the sweet reward of success when you arrive at your destination.

Below are four tips for maintaining your endeavors towards Empowerment and self improvement

1. Keep a positive and success mindset

Your mental attitude toward your situation is very important. It's easy to be negative and to think negative.
This will not move you forward and drains the energy from you. If you think possibilities, you will be better able to focus on the opportunities that are present in setbacks or delays.

Keep a positive attitude. You know that you have what it takes to succeed.

Think positive thoughts. Remove negative self talk and tell yourself to think thoughts that will lift your spirit and renew that desire to succeed.
I know you've heard this "Your attitude determines your altitude." Also as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. This is from the Bible.

2. Pull versus Push.

It is not possible to push a rope. Neither can you make any progress by pushing and forcing it to move to your liking.

Experts will tell you that you need to make yourself "attractive" so that you can effortlessly draw to yourself what you want in life. This will also move you away from seducing or pushing in order to produce the outcome that you desire.

What have you been attracting to your life? Are you the one doing the pushing or the pulling?

3. Be persistent.

Continue on taking action daily toward your dreams and goals. Patience and persistence are the crowning qualities of self-confident champions.

Think of the gardener who plants a seed and then waits for it to sprout and grow. He waters and nourishes the seed even when he does not see immediate results, having faith that the seed will develop into a beautiful plant.

Like the gardener, do not think of what you see and what is going on today. Look ahead in the future and what your actions now will result to.

What can you do today to achieve your future plans?

4. Have an accountability and success partner.

Many times this is all you are missing and that is an accountability partner. Someone to hold you accountable to the goals and action steps you've set out to accomplish.
You've tried it alone for a while now and where has it gotten you? It's okay to say "I need your help." This doesn't mean failure, you are wise to utilize the resources
available to you that will allow you to leverage your time and money.

Having a success partner to encourage and support you especially when you are down or frustrated can make the difference in achieving a goal.
Sometimes our vision is blurred by distraction or discouragement. Having a supportive partner who wants big things for you and believes in you can help you stay the self improvement course.

You can do it on your own, but you do not have to do it alone. You have a choice. Why reinvent the wheel?
Why not have a success partner who will stick with you not only through the good times but also through the bad times?

You can find both of these in a mentor and/or coach and I cannot leave out Father God. He's been a great partner. I couldn't do any of this without Him!

Elbert Hubbard "Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer to your goal."

Your Empowerment and Self Improvement endeavors will not always be easy. But with enough willpower, the perseverance to go on and an accountability
and/or success partner you will finally reach that long awaited place of Empowerment as you make the journey along the path of success.

Women's Empowerment tips: Embrace the process

Do you know how to realize maximized women's empowerment?

I have been giving free consultations to women for my upcoming
special Coaching program and I've identified a few key factors throughout
this time. There is a process that we all must go through and we can either
go through it fighting, kicking, screaming and resisting or we can embrace the process.

You see I haven't always been an Authentic Life Empowerment Mentor,Coach,
Trainer and Public Speaker as a matter of fact you couldn't have convinced
me that I could tell anyone a thing about empowerment. Nor could you tell
me anything about being Empowerment Diva.

As I listened to the many concerns of the women I saw myself
and one thing I remember is that I came to a point where enough was
enough, it was what it was and I was just going to buckle up and get
all that I was to receive from life.

I made up my mind to embrace the process. I chose not to see it as
negativity but an element of the process that I was being allowed to
go through for the end result I wanted to achieve.

Embrace 1 a : to clasp in the arms : hug b : cherish, love
2 : encircle, enclose
3 a : to take up especially readily or gladly b : to avail oneself of : welcome
4 a : to take in or include as a part, item, or element of a more inclusive whole b : to be equal or equivalent to Resource - Miriam Webster

Each challenge that enters your life is an opportunity for empowerment,
advancement and increased wisdom. I like # 4 to take in or include as part,
item, or element of a more inclusive whole. Yes! It was needful for me to be misunderstood, feel as if I was alone, have a limited source so that I
could process to relying on my Father's wisdom, direction, empowering myself
to resist the need to need others to validate my uniqueness and giftings.
The season of lack empowered me to inquire for more, more wisdom,
knowledge and understanding of wealth to empower me to become. Become
what? Become who? A bona-fide child of God. Unique one of a kind gift
of God. The answer to the audience predestined for me. You see if I
continued to find fault with everything and everyone, fight the process
and continued to keep the same mindset I would be a victim as many who
simply need to "embrace the process." It is part of the whole.

Like Andre Crouch says in his song "I thank God for the mountains and I
thank God for the valleys and I thank God for things He's brought me through.
If I never had a problem, I wouldn't know that God could sovle them and
I wouldn't know what my Faith in God could do."

Yes, empowered one. It's time. Time to stop fighting, kicking and screaming.
Time to embrace the process. It's a part of the whole. Trust in God and have
Faith. Do what you need to do to equip yourself for the bold, beautiful and
brilliant life that God has ordained for you. No more excuses. No more playing
small.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But he who heeds counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15

You don't have to do it alone. I'm here to support you in your endeavor
to tap into your authentically brilliant life.

Women's Empowerment: Got stress? Great tips for stressed-less living and maximum empowerment

Did you know that stress can be attributed to 90% of all chronic diseases?

Stress is also known as one of the silent killers. Many women are in denial
and once they take the stress index that I offer in my business they are
surprised at the level of stress in their lives.
You must become clear on the matter of stress and become aware of what
triggers stress in your life if you want realized women's empowerment.
Have you ever been stressed even when you're well relaxed and bored?
You're not alone, I have also experienced this.

Now let's face it stress is unavoidable in life, it is important to find
ways to decrease and prevent stressful incidents and decrease negative
reactions to stress.

Here are some of the things to keep in mind and that can be done by
just remembering it, since life is basically a routine to follow like
brushing your teeth or eating breakfast. You can do a few of them in a
longer span of time, but as they say-- every minute counts.

Your thought life matters

This is an area that demands even more attention than what I'm giving here. Our thoughts are

Emotions such as fear, insecurity, anxiety, rage guilt trigger the body's
stress, just as an actual threat does. You may even experience a sense of worthlessness or powerlessness. This is why it's very important to learn
skills that will help you deal with your negative thoughts.

Here are a few tips:

Change your communication style. Doing this helps you communicate
in a way that makes your views known without making others feel
put down, hostile or intimidated. This reduces the stress that comes
from poor communication.

Another thing you can use it what is called "thought stopping." This
helps you stop a negative thought to help eliminate stress.
Step back and reassess the situation many times we can exaggerate
situations at first glance which only adds to our stress.

Leveraging your time

Learning skills to leverage your time can allow you more time with your
family and friends and possibly increase your performance and productivity.
This will help reduce your stress.

Here are a few tips to do this

Keep a record of how you spend your time, including work, church activities,
family and leisure time.
Deal with procrastination by breaking large projects into smaller ones,
and setting short-term deadlines.
Save time by focusing and concentrating, delegating and scheduling time
for your self.

Lifestyle

Some behaviors and lifestyle choices affect your stress level. They may
not cause stress directly, but they can interfere with the ways your
body seeks relief from stress. Try to:

Discover and live on purpose
Have a mindset of Total Wellness. This is critical fro sustained
empowerment and success.
Get enough sleep. Your body recovers from the stresses of the day
while you are sleeping.
Embrace a moderate exercise routine throughout the week
Balance personal, work and family needs and obligations.

Being equipped with skills to live a stressed-less life will not only
allow you to reap the rewards of business success but will also
extend your life so that you can enjoy your family, your business
success and giving thanks to Father God for the bountiful blessings
in your life.

Here's to your stressed-less, big, bold, beautiful and delicious life!

Women's Empowerment: The world is crying out for leaders (Is it in you?) Discover the leader within

People eyeing you as a potential leader tend to ask three questions:
1. Are you committed?
2. Do you care about me?
3. Can I trust you?
- Lou Holtz

What irritates you? When you discover this you may find the problem you were born to solve.

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don't seem to be happening the way they’re supposed to be? You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. And in the daily hustle and bustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that – goals. Then maybe its time for you to stand up and do something about it.
Maybe it's time for you to take initiative.

Most people are content just to stand around listening for orders. And it isn't unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader mentality. But maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen – to be the head, not the tail. Then maybe leadership just suits you fine. This quality can be found in entrepreneurs. An entrepreneur
is willing to take on the risks and challenge of managing a business.

Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it may be true that some people are born with natural talents. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, there can be no true development in leadership.

A good leader is always seeking to improve their natural skills. They realize that the only secure investment is an investment in themselves.
This takes a commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses. Regardless of what family, friends or society says they have a
undying commitment to self improvement, business and spiritual growth.

First of all, let's define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group.

Contrary to what most people believe, leadership is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader not a boss.

Leadership is not only evident within the walls of a company but can be identified in the company of people whether at an event, church function,
community, network it can even be identified in the realm of social media.

First of all, your leadership will influence people to follow you. How is this accomplished?

People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Remember that bumper sticker? The one that says, don't follow me, I'm lost too? The same holds true for leadership. If you yourself do not know where you're headed to, chances are people will not follow you at all.

You yourself must be clear on your own vision, purpose and goals. Where it concerns where you work whether in the capacity of upper management or supervisor you must know the vision of the organization. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the bosses are, who to talk to, the organization's goals and objectives, and how the organization works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing.

Being a leader is not about what you make others do. It's about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what your subordinates must be.

Studies have shown that one other bases of good leadership is the trust and confidence your subordinates have of you. If they trust you they will go through whatever they need to for you and for the organization.

Trust and confidence is built on good relationships, trustworthiness, and high ethics.

The way you deal with your people, and the relationships you build will lay the foundation for the strength of your group. The stronger your relationship, the stronger their trust and confidence is in your capabilities.

Once you have their trust and confidence, you may now proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you are to undertake.

Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this you can not be a good leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people.
Remember being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight. Remember, also, that it is not about just you. It is about you and the people around you.

Again being a leader is not only tied into an organization, you can influence individuals wherever you are and in whatever field you serve. Stand out
as the leader in your industry.

So, do you have the drive and the desire to serve required of leaders? Do you have the desire to work cooperatively with other people? Then start now. Take your stand and be leader today. Take inventory of the resources around you like mentors, coaches, training, networks etc. that will help you cultivate the leadership within you
and allow you to confidently step out and share your gift with the audience that is hungrily waiting for you!

Take the next step. Continue your leadership development by maximizing
your empowerment. If you're ready I invite you to register for my
transformation Teleseminar series right here.

Woman Entrepreneur tips: Realize maximum empowerment by unlocking your self improvement power

The effectiveness of self improvement has been discounted by many as an ineffective and/or insignificant part of our empowerment and success. I believe that you must continue self improvement for any level of sustained empowerment and success.

If you are looking at a certain object such as a painting– you won’t be able to appreciate what’s in it, what is painted and what else goes with it if the painting is just an inch away from our face, however, if you try to take it a little further, you’ll have a clearer vision of the whole art work.

There does come a point in our life when we are ready to receive information and change that will help us unlock our self improvement . Until then, something can be staring us right under our nose but we don’t see it. The only time we think of unlocking our self improvement power is when everything got worst. Take the frog principle for example –

Try placing Frog A in a pot of boiling water. What happens? He makes sounds! He jumps off! Why? Because he is not able to tolerate sudden change in his environment – the water’s temperature. Then try Frog B: place him in a luke warm water, then turn the gas stove on. Wait til the water reaches a certain boiling point. Frog B then thinks “Ooh… it’s a bit warm in here”.

At times people can be like Frog B. Today, Serena thinks James hates her. Tomorrow, Patrick walks up to her and told her he hates her. Serena stays the same and doesn’t take too much to heart what her friends says. The next day, she learned that Sheila and Carl also abhors her. Serena doesn’t realize at once the importance and the need for self improvement until the entire community hates her.

It is often said that we learn our lessons when we experience pain. We finally see the warning signs and signals when things get rough and tough. When do we realize that we need to change diets? When none of our jeans and shirts would fit us. When do we stop eating candies and chocolates? When all of our teeth have fallen out. When do we realize that we need to stop smoking? When our lungs have gone bad. When do we pray and ask for help? When we realize that we’re going to die within six months.

Empowered woman entrepreneurs and women don’t just accept change, they embrace it. Now, you don’t have to feel a tremendous heat before realizing the need for self improvement. Unlocking your self improvement power means unlocking yourself out of the cage of thought that “its just the way I am”. It is such a poor excuse for people who fear and resist change. Most of us program our minds like computers.

We are often conditioned by our environment, friends, relatives etc. Yvonne repeatedly tells everyone that she doesn’t have the guts to be around groups of people. She heard her mom, her dad, her sister, her teacher tell the same things about her to other people. Over the years, that is what Yvonne believes. She believes its her story. And what happens? Every time a great crowd would troop over their house, in school, and in the community – she tends to step back, shy away and lock herself up in a room. Yvonne not only believed in her story, she lived it.

Yvonne has to realize that she is not what she is in her story. Instead of having her story post around her face for everyone to remember, she has to have the spirit and show people “I am an important person and I should be treated accordingly!”

You can realize maximum empowerment when you unlock your self improvement power.
As I always say , empowerment is a choice. Self improvement may not be everybody’s favorite word, but if we look at things in a different point of view, we might have greater chances of enjoying the whole process instead of counting the days until we are fully improved. Three sessions in a week at the gym would result to a healthier life, reading books instead of watching TV will shape up a more profound knowledge, going out with friends and peers will help you take a step back from work and unwind.

Connecting with an accountability measure whether it’s through skills
learned through programs and systems or inviting a Coach or Mentor to
work with you is the most empowering step you can take. You’ll soon
realize that you’re beginning to take things light and become more joyful.

Unlock your self improvement power now! It’s your life and only you
can make the mindset shift from self sabotage and failure to
empowering success.

my twist "just make sure it's not a dead horse."

I encourage you to re-evaluate projects you've taken on
and any other endeavors you continue to pursue.
Do they have the necessary ingrediens to manifest the

If it's a business, are you pursuing the right market?
Many times we create a product or business and look
for the customers when we should do the reverse, find
a hungry market for the niche you have identified.

You may need to tweak your product a little. Don't
just continue to do the same thing expecting
different results. Did you know that is one definition
for insanity? Do something positively different.

If you're trying to do something but don't get it right

Here's to a new confident You!
Tip from: The Dynamic Power of Focus by
Robin G. Tramble

Re:Let it go for effective personal development

"Sometimes you've got to let everything go - purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything - whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you'll find that when you're free, your true creativity, your true self comes out."

Tina Turner
Entertainer

In my coaching and mentoring sessions I use an assessment that
deals with taking inventory of what you are tolerating. Whatever we
tolerate we cannot change and if you look over your life you'll see
that there are certain things that have been there for 10, 15, maybe
20 years and you look back and wonder why you allowed it to hang
on for so long.

Well, if you don't assess your life and really know what it is
you want and better than that what you don't want, you will
live a life of mediocrity.

I challenge you today to take inventory of 3 things that
you have been tolerating.

Next note 1 - 2 actions you can take to minimize and eventually
stop tolerating the actions of that particular individual or other area
you are tolerating.

Set your spirit free for creativity, to realize a new empowered you!

If you'd like more information on the toleration
assessment that I spoke of, contact me.
