Women's Empowerment tips: What to do when fear tries to overtake you!

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble,
whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy--think about such things. Philippians 4:8

Many times we don’t want to admit that we have any fears.
There a lot of things that we can be fearful of over the
course of our lives. If you told me years ago that I would
be a public speaker I would have answered who me….. that is
because I was bashful and thought I didn’t have a good speaking
voice and this hindered me from moving forth, how many of you
know that when you want anything bad enough you’ll move forward
to manifest that desire. I moved in the face of fear, sought
out mentors and a coach, dug deep into my faith and embraced
the process. Opportunities opened up to me.

Faith is the opposite fear and doubt and fear are cousins.
Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising

People everywhere are beginning to live in a state of fear.
There is good fear and bad fear. Fear was also designed to warn
us and protect us from certain things, however, for the most part
people become in bondage to the negative fear.

Have you ever been hindered by a fear of success
(or a fear of failure)?
Have you ever received news that seemed to immobilize you
with fear?

Many people face this common problem daily.
Fear tried to overtake me when I learned that our daughter
was in the hospital on life support And even more so when we
learned that we almost lost her and a few days later we almost
Lost her again. Our experience has taught us some things about
dealing with crisis and this was another crisis. Our daughters
live in Seattle, WA and this was our oldest daughters. So imagine
hearing all of this and you’re hundreds of miles away.

We put in a call to our Father about our going up there and moved
forward to make that happened. When we arrived my heart went out.
Let me back up a little. Before that as we journeyed toward Seattle,
the enemy began working on our emotions, tears flowed and he tried
to present anxiety, we immediately started confessing the word of
God, praising Him for His intervention, speaking life.

When we arrived I saw our daughter and I said a quiet simple prayer
“Father God it would be nice to see our daughter off life support
before we return home.” I left it right there. How many of you know
that sometimes it’s those simple quiet prayers that seem to get
immediate response?

Our daughter’s numbers on the machine were 56 when we first arrived,
the next day 50 and the following 40 I came in that Tuesday morning
and saw that the number had gone up to 50 I said oh Lord that number
needs to go down and I heard “don’t worry about that number” and I
said to my husband we won’t worry about that number as if he was
really worried about it anyway. Next the nurse came in and said
did you hear the good news? We’re going to try to remove the tube today."
My heart leaped and I remembered the simple quiet prayer. Praise God
she was taken off life support and a few days later was moved out of
ICU.

How did we remain focused and faith-full in the midst of this crisis
and others? One significant thing we had to do was Focus. We can be
immobilized by a lack of focus. Most times it’s because we don’t
have a burning desire, aren’t clear on our vision and surround
ourselves with negativity and more.

We focused on Faith. We could have focused on the negatives, however,
we pushed ourself to focus on faith not fear, not the circumstances
but FAITH!! There’s a quote that goes like this
“What you focus on expands!” I’m not sure of the author.

What are you focusing on? If it’s negative it’s fueling fear in your life.
Are you focusing on lack, focusing on fear, focusing on the hurts and
pains of your life? Develop positive focus. One verse in the bible that
is good to remember is in Philippians 4:8. You can view the verse at
the beginning of this article.

How many dreams have been delayed? How many risks have you stepped
back from taking as a result of fear. Fear is not something you want
to ignore as it can take away your quality of life and literally
control everything you do. In essence you’re imprisoned by fear.

We've had other opportunities to be overtaken by fear, however, our
focus is on Faith and not the negative. Our focus is on the majestic
POWER of our Father God. Develop a positive focus. Focus on the positive
outcome you want to realize. Focus on the manifestation of your goals.

I invite you to escape the pain and prison of fear. Do not be overcome with fear. Develop a positive focus. As I mentioned before one way to do this is to focus on Faith!!

Savvy woman and woman entrepreneur Empowerment: Don't let fear steal your life

If you listen to your fears, you will die never knowing what a great person you might have been.— Robert H. Schuller

This is a very powerful quote. As a savvy woman and woman entrepreneur it is
imperative that you acknowledge that you will experience fear in your life,
however, in order to realize authentic life empowerment you must not listen
to your fears. Of course you will need to address certain areas in order
to build your self up to avoid living a fearful life.

The point is not to focus on or become consumed by fear. Your objective should
be on becoming faith-full so that fear is de-fueled.

What fears have you noticed in your life? Do you sense fear when you're
venturing out to take on a new area of business? Does the thought of building
new relationships cause fear to enter in? Have you set goals for your personal
,spiritual or business life but can't seem to get moving because of fear?

Fear can also cause procrastination. If you notice a few of the questions
above were referencing taking action. What do you do with the fear that you feel
when setting out to take action? Do you procrastinate?

This is another reason not to listen to your fears. Yes learn what you need
to in order to move forward.

Give no thoughtful attention to fear. Give no consideration to fear. Do not
listen to the plea of fear with the intent to steal your life or to steal
your destiny.

The cost: You could die never knowing the great person you might have been.
Don't let fear steal your life!

The word doesn't tell us to thank Him that the problem, challenge or pain happened
but in everything Give Him thanks.

Women's Empowerment: Better or Bitter?

Have you ever been in the presence of an individual and their
spirit was so negative and heavy that it left you burdened and
heavy. Continuous fellowships only made your heart sad, your
spirit bruised and before long you were bitter toward the loss of time
invested and the lack of positive results. Yes, I said bitter. Could it
be that the dear one who is in your presence is bitter, unhappy
with life and the results of life? Could it be that there is a lack
of true devotion with their Father so they exude poison that
poisons your soul and spirit?

We must guard our heart . Guard your heart more than anything else, because
the source of your life flows from it. God’s word translation (1995)
If you are harboring any bitterness in your heart, You must get rid of
bitterness.

Ask Father God to help you.

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Now let’s turn our thoughts toward a more refreshing experience.
I know you have been around individuals that move you to
positive change, move you toward God pleasing activites,
that moves you toward the pursuit of maximizing your life. Why,
to be in their presence is refreshment, empowerment, peace.
Does anyone come to mind?

Let me ask you when in the company of you what are the
lasting results? Are they better or bitter after being in your company?
Oh my friend, make sure you spend time in the presence of God so
that individuals who have been in your presence are in “good company”
and as a result they will be the better for it.

Marriage Empowerment for women: Am I admitting failure when seeking advice?

I've coached, counseled and mentored many women in the area of relationships
and I find that many times we miss out on the empowering support necessary to
manifest effective relationships because often times women feel that they are admitting to failure when seeking out advice or resources.

On the contrary! When you continue along a path doing the same thing expecting different results you are actually a demonstration of one definition of
insanity. Yes, I said insanity.

To acknowledge challenges that exist whether it be personal or business
takes courage.

On the other hand seeking out tools, resources, mentorship is an act of a
woman with wisdom. Wisdom to know that it makes more sense to prepare and
invest in an empowered marriage or relationship instead of paying later for a
divorce.

In God we trust is not merely a statement "It's a must!"

I've been viewing some of the events taking place over the last few
weeks and it saddens my heart.

One story in particular is that of a Pastor's wife who died due to suspected
swine flu complications.

We may ask how can this happen to God's people?
God does not put things on us, however, our bodies are subject to
the effects of this world.

I know you know the statement "In God we trust" on our currency.
My question is are we as christians truly trusting God?
Trusting His word that teaches us to cover ourselves?
Keeping our armour on? Speaking the word over our lives?
Covering ourselves with the blood?

We have a lot of preachy folks. Those that are quick to give a sermon
but if you were to be in the privacy of their homes, no word is going
forth,there is no devotion time and definitely a lack of prayer coverage.
OH! Should I even draw attention to fasting? (smile)

So..... in the midst of all of our daily tasks and plans we must make
sure that we trust God's instructions for our life. Seek His wisdom in
every area and listen.

If you miss it , get back up and receive God's grace, repent and move
foward.

My friend now is the time to stay under the shadow of The Almighty.

As a christian to die is gain , however, we don't have to go before it's
our time and when it is we will do as this wife -
Close to death and attached to tubes and wires, she could only communicate
with hand gestures, but reportedly told her husband, "Everything is going to
be O.K. I know where I'm going." [1]

Women and self esteem : Act like it's so

Call those thing which be not as though they were. Roman 4:17

You can have what you say whether it be good or bad.

When I first became fascinated by the personal development industry
I was bashful, didn't feel to good about myself and became
immobilized when I achieved any level of success. So the
thought of becoming a public speaker, owning my own business
or even directing a staff of over 40 individuals just provoked
the "choke", which is a concept I've referred to with my clients.
Tnere was a certain point I would reach and then it was as if my
soul choked and I couldn't press any further.

Well my passion and purpose became larger than the "choke" and
I began to equip myself, connect with individuals that were going
or had arrived to the place I wanted to be. I invested in the resources
necessary to reinforce the manifestation of the vision I had for my
life. I soon stepped out with my professional image, commanding
presence and confidence in tact and I "acted like it was so."
Step by step I acted like the CEO, recording artist, public speaker
and back then Image Consultant that I aspired to be. One thing
led to another until I was influencing women everywhere to
pursue their God given destiny and taking the necessary steps
to realize this.

Did this happen because I had a pity party, no. Could this have
happened if I pitched a tent in my inferiority complex? No.

The most significant step was commitment to my spiritual authority
and allowing Him to show me my purpose which fueled my passion and
as a result empowered me!

This became one of my favorite scriptures
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

Here's a simple/fun way to look at walking in your call even before
you feel that you should be there. Think good thoughts, think and speak
what God says about you.

If you feel unsafe, unsure or nervous then go inside yourself and pretend you're a lawyer, actor, actress, singer,minister,a wise sahm, public speaker or whatever you aspire to be. Make believe you're presenting yourself as that person would until you feel better. Trust me, you will feel better, and eventually what you've been acting will become a manifestation as you align key principles with action.

Remember, God in you = Empowerment!

Destiny's calling - Keep steppin'

One problem with gazing too frequently into the past is that we may turn around to find the future has run out on us. ~Michael Cibenko


Each achievement in my life has not come from continuing to gaze in
the rear view mirror, in fact you won't get too far looking backward.
The only time we may look briefly over our shoulder in the blind spot
is when we're analyzing whether it's clear enough to make our move.

This is the case as we journey through life. There will be
occasions when you glance to take inventory of the horizon for
pure navigation purposes. Once you have clarity of purpose you must move
with faith and confidence and take one step, then two steps, never,
looking back.

Your future is at stake and when it seems that you've lost a few
so called friends along the way, when the fear of
success or failure tries to grip you or those old limiting
beliefs try to overshadow you, don't pause to evaluate just keep
steppin', keep steppin' out in Faith and you will manifest the
dreams that you have worked diligently to realize the dreams
that were yours from the beginning of time. Your destiny is
calling... just keep steppin' with confidence and Faith
and answer the call.

Keep your eye on your Father God for divine guidance and embrace
the truth that He knows the plans that He has for you, plans to
prosper and for an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

Let this truth lead you. Find other promises that He has provided
in the bible and keep steppin' by Faith in the light of truth.

Have you hugged Him lately?

One of my building blocks for empowerment includes commitment
to your spiritual authority which in my case and yours is
Father God and next for wives is their husband.

I thought this post would support the attitude we should
embrace where it concerns our Father God.

Did you remember to hug Father God today? If He cries
when we cry and laughs when we laugh then He has the
ability to be sad when we're sad. Let's lift the heart of God
with fellowship, worship and praise. It makes sense.....when
we have joy....He has joy! Although the capacity of His joy is
not decreased or increased by our emotions, He still has the ability
to receive from our expressions of joy (praise)!

Go ahead give Him a praise hug, a worship hug, a declaration of
victory hug!

Hallowed be thy name Jehovah Jireh - my provider!
Jehovah Shalom - The Lord my peace!
Jehovah-Rapha - The Lord my healer!

Yes! Yes! Listen for His applause, feel your spirit soar as you enter
into His presence. He's listening he's inhabiting your praises!

God in you = Empowerment!

You can have an empowered life through reading, meditating on
and studying the word of God. We need God's wisdom to make
it through. Most of all we need God's wisdom to help
us help someone along the way. Life renders many opportunities
to share the love of God to offer hope in a world of violence and evil.
How will you know how to answer without the wisdom of God.
Power-up with the word of God.

There's healing in the word of God. There's life in the word of God.

Sometimes taken for granted
It still stands still
Like rivers in the early morning
It is ever so chill
Sometimes misunderstood
